Opposition to child porn can be used and exploited to convince people that censoring the internet is a good idea, from which point it will be easy to clamp down on other kinds of website that one doesn't like, according, to members of the music industry:

What this person doesn't understand, however, is that governments learnt this trick a long time ago and have been using the public's fear of their children being raped in order to pass questionable laws for quite some time.
