My system is a windows 7 32bit
I have the original discs
I have installed Aali's driver 0.7.3b, PRP, YAMP, Avalanche hi-res, and FF7music, along with the full install from the Install CD.
The PRP is causing me some confusion, I was able to get Aali's driver working just now, but used the executable inside the main FF7 folder, after applying the v 1.02 patch. When I did manage to get the game working, it showed the lego models, as opposed to the PRP models. When I try using the PRP shortcut that the PRP patch put on my desktop, the opening movie doesn't load after selecting New Game. But the opening movie and everything loaded with the original executable.
I'm confused as hell as to what I should do to get this thing running with the PRP models and making everything hi-resolution from the avalanche patch.
So what am I doing wrong? The PRP shortcut is definitely causing a significant level of confusion.
I installed all of the above because I am unable to download Titeguy3's remix patch 2.5.1, get a an error 403: Forbidden when I try to download. These sorts of things are causing way too many headaches for just playing a simple game.
Edit: Is there a specific order in which patches must be installed or it'll mess things up?

There should be a folder called "ffprp" somewhere in your "data" folder, possibly in "data\field", I don't remember. Copy 00.lgp, rename it to char.lgp and move it to the "data\field" folder. Then copy 01.lgp, rename it to world_us.lgp [i think?] and move it to the "data\wm" folder. It's probably a good idea to back up these files before you overwrite them, but this should solve your problem. Just run the game normally.

Thanks man, I also managed to successfully download your patch, gonna see how it works.
Wish they'd include your instructions with the PRP patch though.
Edit: Managed to get the remix patch working, all the beautiful models are in now. But I'm trying to figure out exactly what I need to do in order to get the music playing.
I've changed the FF7music config around to point to the directories of the plugins and the music files, but can't seem to get them to work. So what do I do now?
Edit: Got everything working great, including the music. Now off to enjoy the game.
