Ok, so I used to enjoy reading rumors about FFVII. How to bring Aeris back, Onyx Weapon, Fighting the meteor, all that kind of stuff. Back in the day though, I remember reading a "mystery" of sorts. It was about those two red shinra soldiers who stand at the base of the tower in sector seven, and are blocking off a very noticeable path.
Now, back then I just believed what I read and assumed it was a part of the game that was taken out due to time constraints. But while playing through the game again it suddenly hit me... That path is probably what leads to Sector 6.
It makes perfect sense. I mean, there are no pathways that take you directly to sector 6 from Sector 7, yet in the playground area, you can see a very noticeable door, so there clearly HAS to be a pathway leading to it. Not only that, but that's also the general direction that you go sailing through the air in when you're escaping Sector 7.
I can't believe it took me roughly 13 years to realize this... I feel stupid now.

Don't worry about it. I always kind of wondered and it just popped in my head since Tifa is also in the carriage and she came out of nowhere and it came from the upper part and the guards stayed at the lower part so it made sense.

good catch, i never made that connection either....13 years later :) thanks for clearing that up for me

I was always aware of this. Also, I always wondered What if you get to the shinra soldiers after heading backwards from the reactor, when the train ID Security system catches you and ya have to jump off, that if you fought the soldiers enough times you could continue backwards or go in their door, alas I spent 2 hours fighting these guys before I decided there was no way...

My favorite was to collect the 1/12 shinra soldiers and get a good sephy to join your party. ha oh boy.

ditto on that. a plus side was that it made the entire rest of the game a cake walk since i was 5 levels higher than i should have been.

i had also always assumed it led to something cut in the game... wait, the direction they jump off, wasn't it more eastward toward the trainyard? thats what i always saw it as
