Hi guys I was wondering is it at all possible to change a characters( cloud etc) battle stances, fighting and winning animations to someone else's, for example: Sephiroth. I know you can change there look in battle by editing the battle.lgp so is it a similar process to change there animations etc.

i had always assumed it could be done with kimera sinse i always found i could edit the animation IN kimera, but im not to sure

If by similar process, you mean slowly rotating each individual bone frame by frame, then yes, it is similar.

I assumed it was either going to be very easy or very hard, but what I'm asking is there a way to give a characters battle stance to someone else in the party using the game files example renaming something to something else.

Well the easy answer is no. Each animation file expects a certain number of bones. If all the bones aren't there you get things like this Vincent being a ballerina. (http://www.youtube.com/user/FF7ModHD#p/u/5/lSPZ-sGG4hQ) The first half is an example of what happens when Cloud's animation is being used by Vincent.
But do feel free to create your own custom animations, Kimera is more than capable.

Cool thanks very much for the info. The reason I asked was because I want to swap Vincents battle model for Sephiroth, I know I can swap their skins using battle.lgp but I also wanted to swap their stances etc, so you say I can do it using Kimera, well then I'll give it a try.
P.S Do you have a link to where I can download it
