UPDATE:

Reinstalling FF7_GameConverter_7H fixes this. However this problem returns when laptop goes in and out of standby (7thHeaven is not running when the laptop goes into standby mode).

EDIT:

Also happens any time I shut down / restart the computer.

7th Heaven / Re: Menu Overhaul: physical attack issue
« on: 2019-02-15 23:33:35 »
Confirm this is still the case as of this date. Think it's all damage, not just physical; "enemy skill Laser" is the easiest example to check this with as it supposed to do exact 1/2 of current hp in damage. Currently it does 1/2 of 1/2 (i.e. 1/4 of current hp in damage) - and I'm pretty sure it's counted as "magic" damage.

I do have an installed mo.exe in a different folder actually, but don't know if I want to fix it, as the game difficulty seems a lot better with this. Though to be honest, I like big numbers and character growth, so would far rather that instead all enemies simply had 2x the health. I know there are mods that 'buff' enemies, but they seem to do a whole lot of other things too (damage dealt, abilities, cooldowns etc.)

EDIT: So far tried using ff7.exe (renamed to ff7_mo) from my other PRP folder - which is patched to 1.02 and has the Reunion/MO standalone installed. Game crashed on first text box conversation.

I've tried installing the MO standalone over the 7th Heaven mod - game would not start (regardless of whether I have the actual mod enabled or not).

I also tried launching with ff7_bc.exe without having beaucause translation enabled - this seems to work, however the 1/2 damage still persists (tested with Enemy Skill "Laser" on a sand worm)

Would love if someone posts a working ff7_mo.exe here, or links to a mod where you can change the multipliers of enemy hp and own damage, if such a mod exists.

Cheers.

EDIT 2:

And just to mess with me, I just tested it with default ff7.exe with MO disabled, laser still does 375 instead of 750 damage on an enemy with 1500hp. Not sure what's broken any more and probably getting myself paranoid - just remember doing more damage in general with everything on the last several playthroughs? Can someone confirm what my physical attacks should be doing around mid 20s?

EDIT 3:

Weirdly enough, this seems to have fixed itself after leaving corel prison. I'm using ff7_mo.exe at the moment and % spells have been doing their correct % since cosmo canyon.

Hi all,

I've finally managed to get everything working, had a blast playing ye olde FF7 yesterday with the awesome mods. No problems whatsoever - everything works great!

Tried to start the game today, and no matter what I do I cannot get the game to run in fullscreen mode. The most annoying thing is NOTHING HAS CHANGED from last night AT ALL. I didn't even shut down the laptop that I played on (I have restarted it as a means of trying to fix this problem since however)

I've tried altering the resolution to 0, 0, toggled aspect ratio, toggled filtering on and off, tried every shader (pretty much every option in Aalia's driver window). I've disabled every single mod to see if it will launch, yet still get that error. App.log below:

Really at a loss as to what to do. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Oh and windowed mode works fine at any resolution, just not fullscreen.

Hi all

First of all, awesome job! Huge improvement to the old modding options!

Anyway, thought I'll drop in here since I think it's relevant - but there definitely seems some kind of an issue with the reunion Beacause and Menu Overhaul - I get the exact same crash on any dialogue box that appears.

Disabling it works, with all the other mods running without any issues. BUT the text is some low res 320x280 stretched pixellated thing which makes it impossible to read anything inside the ingame dialogue boxes sadly. I'm not even sure what my old modded FF7 had in terms of menu - whether it was the menu overhaul or something else - but this is what the game text looked like running my old modded FF7 (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eGLuXze81TMBOPnLb1Hl39g2X3G0Z_uZ/view) and this is what it looks with Menu Overhaul / Beacause enabled (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kZVFdmVUVo6BsunjssT_bMEegOMgBakV). As mentioned previously, getting to the first text box popup in game crashes it when I have Menu Overhaul / Beacause enabled.

Background resolution is the same for both, and textures and models load in the correct resolution too. Hope that all made sense - and hopefully it's related to the same issue the OP is having. Or hopefully it's simply something that I'm doing wrong.

On an unrelated note - do I need to configure every mod separately every time I start up 7th Heaven, or is there a way to save the configurations for each mod?

Cheers
