It's the same guy. :/
I'll look into the sfx as soon as I've released my backumod and texture mod for FFIX

From the start I was never doing this for anyone but myself. Did you not catch on from the beginning? All the videos I posted, showed new custom sfxs, not sfxs from FFIX. It was obvious then, and my last video, clearly shows the menu sounds weren't from FFIX.

Did I miss something?
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=14315.msg249852#msg249852

That really sounded different.

178
Dclem when do you will release your sfx patch?
Are you not going to add any sfx like the ones you used from FFXII?

179
I'll repost as soon as tirlititi put it on public. :)

180
Deleted as the video isn't meant to be released as of now.

181
Dclem you have to open HW and navigate to the asset viewer without loading anything.
I did the same mistake.

182
Okay I've done it!
Finally! :D

Every Background is finished. Now I need only to double check it so hopefully I can release a beta end of the week / starting next week.

To celebrate the release, tirlititi was so nice to make a spoof Video with the FFIX Engine:

Oh Jesus here we go again huh?
I just gave you a nice advice. If you don't care that's you problem.

184
You jump the gun real quick ain't you?
Maybe he's out of town attending other business...really get some patience if you need help.

If you find yourself running into lines between textures after you upscale, you might need to make them seamless.  I did this with masking seamless textures over the existing ones and/or clonestamp tool to each tile by hand (old school way) for my FF8 maps.  Unfortunately, the FF8 UV's are bunked on the PC version.  Hope FF9 fares better.

Turn off any filtering first just to make sure, before you go re-seaming everything though... linear filtering, etc. can cause extra edges between seamless textures on atlases.

Thanks for the info. Still I'm not good at PSP or Gimp.
I just know how to run my filter pipeline that I refined from my first Final Fantasy X upscale.

I'll see how that ends but I think someone else has to do this. :)

Another update (?) sidenote:
I'm also upscaling the "ugly" Battle textures... well at least they look ugly to me.

http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/203702
This is early WIP but the upscaling shouldn't take as long as the backgrounds, so maybe 1 week if I've decided on my filter pipeline.
I'm also touching on those ugly low res character textures and weapon texture as well.

Let's see if I can even do something with the worldmap textures.

187
I'm working as much as I have time.
76 Backgrounds are remaining right now.

Nice ^_^
What can be done with it or is it music only? ^^

Oh wow, still, I can't help but wonder why Silicon Studios seemingly obfuscated or made the format so unorthodox. I hate when game developers do that.

That is pretty common in game development.

Hey Al here's information regarding the AKB header:

Admiral Hyouta Curtiss has gone trough all infos as far as I can see.

191
Yeah it's basically the same on my end as I'm doing it primarily for me.
I think I'll do a second pass whatsoever and fix the seams as good as I can.

We've much in common. ;)

192
If you think the average player stays 10 seconds there, yes I find it okay.
Hand drawn is better but that's not what I opt for now. At least it's better as with the standard seams.

193
I testes now with Dali Fields (the first with the Scarecrow and it looks good to me. Better as with the PSX seam but yeah, handmade would be awesome³).

I also tried summit:

And here's a comparison on Cleyra. That one is really "messed" up but at least it's not that choppy anymore. *lol*

okay, you know what, shut yo  f*ckin' ass up right now. This f*cker on my kill list now.
This international  f*cker want's the audio to remain the same, then so be it. Enjoy the disgusting sandstorm sfx and dwell you're f*cking backgrounds mod.
I'm NOT the one!

Now I know why no one replys to you if you write stuff like this.
Replacing audio is not as easy as you maybe thought so maybe it would be better for you to just let it be.

@Meru Sorry I involved you into that. It's a shame someone like him posting this.

195
I know what you mean regarding the depth.
I also looked over a let's play to see how things work so I know what to push to the foreground for filtering.  ;)
I also tried to fix several area like the both engine rooms from prima Vista. The psx / steam version got some layers wrong and animation is playing behind another where it shouldn't.

Actually I do, is a lightweight, extensible dependency injection container It facilitates building loosely coupled applications and provides developers with the following advantages: Simplified object creation, especially for hierarchical object structures and dependencies.

So if FFIX sound effects don't need a 1:1 match what is meru tryin' to say?!

Really...?
https://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/dd203101.aspx

Meru said everything you need! >.<

197
I didn't test summit,will do that today.
But I tested other fields and the result is a little bit better then using the psx mask 1:1 but on the other hand other things gets worse.
Still I'll go with that approach now as it doesn't need a lot more time. Maybe I can write a phyton Script do to the daunting tasks.

Edit 1:
I made some adjustments to my workflow and now I can present you the results:
http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/203111/

This time it preserves more of the details and I like it more then the old one.
I have to redo the first 200 Backgrounds (from 800) but that will come after I finished the whole project. ^^

You don't have a clue about the unity container and containers as a whole so you?
Some games needs a 1:1 match so everything runs as intended and it doesn't seem to be the case as meru mentioned.

Meru thank you so much, I think this will help!
As long as the random crashes are minimized or entirely gone this will make fun (I think *lol*).

Edit: That damn phone is auto correcting your name every time.
My apologize!

I'll try that out tomorrow.
Today I tried the field with the weeping blossoms (I'm in bed and forgot the name of it) and it looked ones really good. At least better as with psx and pc seams. It still needs some tweaking but I'll give it a try and test it ingame. :)
