I suppose this is way off topic, but I'm quite curious.

Does fmt=18 (HQ etc) have better sound quality than standard youtube format?
I know it won't always but I'm wondering if they also lose some audio quality as well as video quality in youtube standard.

Why!?
It's so good!

Will the complete folder still be uploaded?

I've only ever been a fanboy of Halo and that died after Halo 3 came out (AND ROCKED THE WORLD WITH DISAPPOINT  YEAH!)
Though I first played this game in '02 back when certain consoles were not obsolete.

I've recently rediscovered it and it's the same WUV that I left it at.
Coming from a non-fanboy:
Seriously a good game yo.
Plus:
nostalgias makes games so goods

Harruzame, you can just download them as an icon and use a program called Icon Changer (google etc.) to embed it into the exe if you don't want to repatch your exe.

Alternatively, you can just download the icon rather than the exe and place them in your ff7 directory and then on the desktop shortcuts > right click > properties > change icon > browse ff7directory > select the icon > ??? > Profit

I prefer the first method just so it's not just the shortcut.
I also use ff7music so I have to select my exe for the shortcut icon.

Actually, now that I've seen it on my desktop I like your first config icon more, titeguy.

Wow that looks great!

Awesome awesome work.

I'm putting the exes that you did in the OP if that's ok.

EDIT:  A few critiques (just ignore them if you'd like :-D):
There is a white shadow missing on the text so on a black background there is no text (can look cool, but the tail is also dark and the lack of contrast looks silly)
^^^ Simply put don't use on a black background.
The config icon when scaled down looks a little choppy because the details don't really translate into smooth edges, same goes with the text.
just my thought: a straight redo of the old config icon.

Anything in the above bit is likely subject to controversy so let's just say it's already been misinterpreted and there is no "right" way to take it.

Ah yes, I see the color difference in the tail.

Okay, just want to make sure this released is sanctioned under his name only for now.

I didn't contact Satoh about this, he just posted it for me in a thread and he seemed like he didn't care much.

Satoh's icon:

And here's the clean 1.02 exe it's embedded with:

I understand some of the patches that look for specific file sizes may or may not work.
If this is an issue patch your exe, download the icon, then use IconChanger, rather simple to use and well made program.

I am using Windows 7 and I have multiple backgrounds scattered throughout these desktop shots so I apologize for the lack of consistency. :-D
If it's an issue I can retake them on a gray desktop background.

Excellent work!  This looks great. :-)

I'm just wondering: when it comes release time will you be sharing the world_us.lgp or the textures for repacking?
It's your preference but I am using the PRP world_us.lgp and if you do decide to just upload the lgp could you specify which files were changed in a readme so I can repack them in?
 :-D

Hmm.

Jenova > several master pre-empt. materia > ??? > profit

Also, I got a pre-emptive on the final Turks battle in the return to Midgar.
So it's possible at least on some of them.

Not that the words of one user who has contributed next to nothing will sway anyone's decision making but I personally think this is one of the most noticeable and cool mods out there and it would be a damn shame if it had to be seen short for something as petty as acedia.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this bug but silence seems to have that same weird look as the menu icons before they were redone.
Same with the ZzZ... when asleep in battle.

Obviously for the same reasons the menu items looked strange.
So I know it's on your to-do list and just ignore this post. :-D

Haha, I know, but I figured Adobe makes some pretty smart programs so it might work.
Also, I change the ff7music shortcut on my desktop to the exe not by selecting an icon file in the directory, but for selecting the ff7.exe for the icon.

Well I was hoping to just edit the one that already exists to 32x32, smooth it out, etc.

The image is embedded in the exe and when I try to open the exe in image editing programs it doesn't open anything.
I don't know how to separate the icon from the application.

Proposal:  Redux/clean up on desktop icons.

Problem:  Can't open the icon in CS4.

I put together a 500Mb folder yesterday that has everything you need (including heavily patched exe) to be copied and pasted into the directory, click overwrite all, and play the game.

Of course you'll need to tweak the driver cfg and the ficedula settings for your computer (they are optimized for W7 x64 currently) and place the ff7music shortcut on the desktop, but it saved a lot of hassle of doing everything from scratch when you make a fatal mistake.

I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to upload it here, but it includes:
Code: [Select]
1.02
alli driver .7b
Team Avalanche 2D revamp .7b
custom main menu
YAMP:
9999 limit breaker
CSith
Gypt
Lucky Tifa
ff7music OSTRe cropped, buffers optimized, midi.lgp replaced
APZ freak's battle mod
Millenia's swords 4/16
masamune mod v2 (only for upgraded buster sword so it doesn't become obsolete, the ultima weapon is still ultima weapon)
latest PRP field (unofficial) and world map

It's another 880Mb if you want me to include the movies for your own little registry hack to streamline movies but you all have the discs so it's rather pointless.

If a/the mod can get back to me if I'm allowed to upload this or not that'd be swell.

Also, not trying to hijack your thread, I just don't think I should make my own though yours is a remixer and this kinda goes along with the Team Avalanche Mission Statement (update rather than modify, small artistic license).  If someone doesn't want YAMP applied I should probably remake the exe since it can't really be undone and not everyone wants that.  If you don't want the buster sword mod just don't paste over the kernel folder.

Also, I'm trying to make that 1998 icon look a little better but I can't seem to figure out how to open or edit it in CS4.  Anyone have any thoughts?

final battle is the one on one with sephiroth when u pwn with omnislash
>.<

I don't know what that means!

Despite having played the game for years and probably hundreds of game hours I have YET TO BEAT THE GAME.
The second form of Sephiroth always kicked my ass back when I played on PSX.
Eventually I youtubed the final scene but I'm working on a file that I plan to be able to beat the weapons and sephiroth.

Does anyone have a side by side of APZ's three models?

and if I go through and touch up a good amount of backgrounds I'm allowed to share here right?

Hey, this has been bugging me since I first got your mod:
What is the difference between the regular and final battle models?
