                Don't use the Desktop !

                 totally broken. You must do a new installation.

                 Second, the problem on your other computer:
  • you know which data i need for analyzing  ;)

  • try to use the minimal installation i described here:

@Leonhart7413: You are totally right, when you make any input (keyboard, mouse,
                            xbox controller, ...) the movie ends and the prelude screen is not shown.
  • Start FF7

  • Show movie eidoslogo.avi    IF any input THEN GOTO loading screen
  • Show movie sqlogo.avi         IF any input THEN GOTO loading screen
  • Show prelude screen            IF any input THEN GOTO loading screen

@Leonhart7413: I have no problems to see the credits when i use my dummy movie.
                            Replaced eidoslogo.avi and sqlogo.avi with it.
                        !  Don't make any input (mouse, keyboard), just wait a little.

  • Backup your save games (.\save\save*.ff7)

  • Deinstall FF7 completely

  • Don't place your mods (Mod Source) onto your Desktop.
    Create a folder on your C: partition (e.g. C:\Bootleg) and move
    all mods + BFE.exe + Bootleg.exe into it.

  • You have changed your DPI setting:  120 DPI (125 percent)
    Change it to normal                        :     96 DPI (100  percent)

    Hint: hit the Windows-Key and write DPI

  • Start your installation

  • ff7_opengl.cfg

    window_size_x = 640  or  1280
    window_size_y = 480  or    960

    fullscreen = yes

    use_shaders        = no  <== only if you have graphic problems
    compress_textures  = no           "
    fancy_transparency = off          try this also

  • Time to play   ;)

I have a new issue with mine...upon opening the game again, no keyboard input seems to register for some reason.  I'm trapped at the New Game/Continue page.  Until now, I could use WASD, and the default was the arrow keys... O.o

EDIT: I resolved the issue by finding a differently-edited ff7input.cfg file and copying it over the existing one.  I have no idea why whatever happened happened.

                         File hosters could vanish suddenly (like MegaUpload).
                         Or they decide to allow only the owner to access the files.

Hi Kylos,

you can use two solutions:
  • ff7_opengl.cfg:  use_shaders = no
or
  • copy .\shaders\nolight\*.*   obsolete
       to  .\shaders


The ff7input.cfg file is created when you can change your
menu settings after Cloud jump's off the train (intro).

i searched Qhimm and the Internet for ARMs FF7 Damage Break PSX.rar
but i had no luck.

It is possible that these users have this file:

   dziugo          Last Active: 02/08/2012, 11:33:01
   paladin181   Last Active: 01/19/2012, 03:33:13

Send a PM to them and wait for their response.

I found a special version of FF7 via Google, which has this mod included.
To write it here is against the rules, so you have to search it by yourself.

A: Use the parameters exactly as i have written.
     I asked Aali long time ago about it, but he never answered.   :'(

Normally this parameter is correct:  minigame_framelimiter = on  / off
Is this value also correct:                 minigame_framelimiter = yes / no

mod_path = avalanche  <== look at the ./mods folder
                                                          e.g. ./mods/avalanche

In your mods folder create another folder called avalanche. Stick the menu folder in the avalanche folder. Change your modpath so it reads "modpath = avalanche" and be sure to check the Use High Res Font box in FF8Config.

linear_filter = off

use_shaders = no

fancy_transparency = off   maybe
compress_textures  = no   try this also

# Disable Error Notifications   add these lines at the bottom
