Oo, I just noticed something.  The numbers in the menu for stats n stuff.  They're not updated!
 :-D

At least I don't think they are, they may be and I'm just blind.

That's pretty straightforward considering it's a square function of kills and character strength.

I like that second idea though.  Mebbe make that the ultima weapon stat?

In that case I'm very happy with the effects of this mod.

I came.  Twice.  Specifically for the changes to the Buster Sword.  Erm, do you actually have to make the changes to the battle.lgp for the stat changes to take effect?

I'm well aware that the buster sword is given 8 linked slots and the death penalty's starting stats, but I'm not sure if the growth part of it works since it wasn't going up after 3-4 battles.  I tried in multiple files in multiple parts of the game.  Just want to see if someone can verify that this works and just takes more time.

Hmm, as much as I like staying true to the original I like the idea of red digital clock look.

Those are perfect!  They add an edgier look than the originals but don't give the "changing the feel" vibe the first set did.

Some summon and magic materia use 2d animations.  Not sure if that's a bit much to bite off and chew.

Things like Bolt and Odin (the clouds going out when he makes his debut).

Perhaps put an empty space to the left of the letter in the texture?

I personally think they add a nice touch.  That whole digital clock look.

336
I did that too before I discovered covarr's .ini, but he didn't rename the files to work with the updated OSTRe loop files so I took the liberty to change a few things.   :-D

337
Also, this is very strange but the keystone still gives the same shudder issue.  I thought this was just shown as blue materia, perhaps it is not?

Is there a documented list of the field.lgp's file equivalents?

Okay, my bad.  I didn't replace Holy and avge was identical, but avga.p a few files down was smaller and I believe that's what it is, but I'm backing up and testing just to make sure.
Frack, regardless of these changes I still have the same keystone shudder and unchanged save point issues.  I'll fix 'em tomorrow.

Okey dokey.  Here's my ff7music folder:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IQOUEC33
Works solid on 7 x64, has everything you need to rock n roll.  Includes my trimming of the Remastered Soundtrack.  You'll have to tweak the buffer settings on your own.  Loopfudge should be the same as your out_wave.dll config's "buffer ahead on next track" setting.  The pre-buffer should equal the difference between the buffer setting and the buffer ahead.  Don't lower the buffer too much.  It's set to 250 and that seems optimal.

The OSTRemastered profile in the ff7music.ini should look like this to make use of the loops/avoid issues in some loops.

Recently re-edited to have the latest updates to the remastered soundtrack, better looping on the bombing mission, psf support (not that you'll want it), and proper buffer settings already.  This works perfectly on Windows 7 x64, and should work with most other Windows x64 systems.  For x86 OS, you should edit the file paths in the profiles tab to the appropriate addresses.
*now includes trimmed mako reactor redux.

Thanks!  The materia worked perfectly but the save icon was the exact same size (160kb) which I would think is coincidence but the archive shows the same save icon as before...

Releases / Millenia's custom models
« on: 2009-08-15 02:51:50 »
All I can say is...

OMGSEXYDOWANT

inb4icallbsonthatrule

seriously though, text speech isnt that annoying.
isn't*

Argh, as awesome as these are and as much as I'm in love with them it seems that the textures aren't showing up in battle.  The models are definitely replaced, but the textures are just solid white.  I'd assume that using aali's driver the textures would go into the texture folder in the directory but without any textures to put it there...

341
 :-o

While we're here, which file is the save point in the field.lgp?
I like the original more.   :-D

342
Now I'm not 110% certain that this is the driver since it may be the fact that I'm just using the PRP .lgps instead of their .exe (so I can use ff7music) but materia in game don't appear or shutter hard core.  Things like the key stone and other orbs.

343
In the ff7 main directory there should be a ff7_opengl.cfg.  Open that in notepad and there you can disable/access the driver features (custom resolutions etc)

344
Hmm, I'm noticing covarr's .ini doesn't make use of some of the looped (modified) OST songs.  I'll try to correct this.

Is fan2 the shortened one (only the dun dun dun dah dan dundah) and fanfare the looped one?

345
It does look like that.   D:

Also, by changing the input priority to highest in the in_mad/mp3/psf.dll I can get away with a pre-buffer of under 100ms.

Also, my good night... mp3 has a few seconds of silence on the end already.(?)

346
Has anyone noticed that "good night until tomorrow" cuts off a second or two early.  Also, I just played through Wutai and noticed that the part where Corneo has a dramatic turn around and the continue music starts to play, it's supposed to stop shortly after it starts but it doesn't.  Probably an ff7music thing that can't be helped.

All this and I still can't get ff7music to work without the plugin (meaning the bombing mission music stop issue).

Releases / Re: Chibi Reconstruction Project <release>
« on: 2009-08-14 15:18:07 »
Great work guys, as preference goes I like to use these just for world_us.lgp but I noticed the highwind, tiny bronco, etc. detail is unaltered.
It's not all that important (and probably not even a priority), just thought I'd throw it out there.

348
Well I must say I LOVE this mod.   :-D

Is there anyway you could host just the .lgps?  The install process takes a wee bit of time and I install patches/mods to the .exe directly sooo...

Also, chibi and PRP are apples and oranges.  I like chibi just for world_us.lgp, but I like the detail that the character models are given.

349
Hmm, it's really late here, but I running 7 x64.  I'll redownload it, copy the .ini bits I need then test it out tomorrow.

Also, crap.  Now when I try to disable the driver music string and run ff7music, nothing comes out, period.  But it does successfully cancel out the midis which it didn't do before.

350
I'm already using loopbe, I guess I don't know why I'm using fakemidi.

:p
Thanks!
