I'm not really into AC style characters, but I'm still eager to see how it turns out.

That is actually the good 'ol Cloud, not the emo Cloud I was expecting. All gud!
Never played any of those games though...
Any valid link ?You can just download it through 7Th Heaven.
Thanks
You realize that the YouTube account Daniel Burke and DLPB are the same person, right?Damn, you're right. xD
One suggestion for the 2.0 release: Right now the Team Avalanche "Sweeper" model is only replacing the ones outside of Midgar, which are separate models from the ones appearing at the beginning of the game. I could fix this by renaming the "cv" files from the Team Avalanche Sweeper model to "av" files, as the "custom Sweepers" that appear outside of Midgar are really just a color variations of the normal Sweepers (as seen here). There's also the "Death Machine" variation (je) which should use Team Avalanche Model as well.
Thanks for the Midgar Zolom glitch report. I think I will take out that option completely in the next update since the projects on them have come to a halt. The game can't completely be run in 60 FPS because the modders have determined that the amount of worked needed to finish the animations is too large a scope for us.
Version 2.0 of the Catalog will be releasing soonish (don't ask when), and will feature some new mods. Once you download them, you have to Activate them and then click the Configure button to see all its options to choose from. The Catalog just displays the categories of mods, so you're not going to see them from there. I haven't counted them exact, but once Version 2.0 is out, I'd say there will be over 100 mod options to select.
Sticky?
Absolutely agree with you guys, I simply loved the anime-style of the original. I've always imagined that in a remake, the field models of the characters would look just like this:A agree, but I wouldn't go as far as directly adapting those models since they, although they are CG models which were for the time quite detailed, still are not up to modern quality 3D standards (I'm obviously not talking about the art style) as you can see with Sephiroths neck, visible polygons everywhere which will be even more noticable in HD, visible bone joints, overall lack of detail, but maybe that's what you meant by polishing them in HD.
Just the characters from the original's FMVs, but only polished in HD (and with no further changes). Sadly, that isn't going to happen. That's especially irritating when considering that Nomura himself designed the characters of the original in the first place! By choosing a vastly different graphics style now, he is more or less betraying his own work. The realistic approach just doesn't seem to "fit" with the world of FF7, at least not for me.
I'll guarantee you that even if the game is an abomination it will get 9 or 10 from most big review companies. It's the fanbase that will render the ultimate judgement.
C'mon, it's obvious. They cater to the trends.
I didn't want an FF7 remake to fall victim to that - but because of Nomura stylistic choices, and his obsession with making the graphics (of an anime styled game...) more realistic, that's probably what's going to happen.
