I'm using windows 8 and everything works fine on my system just remember to deactivate compatibility mode in windows

edit: and activate win7 compatibility for FF7Music

And you where right about the copy protection thing, but unfortunately it gives me still an error.

....Temp Dir/Booleg_Setup/Sprinkles.7z/ulgp.exe couldn't be found....

It's not that much of problem, I only wanted to test it if German is available for a friend of mine.

If it's not working that's unfortunate but it's only a videogame and I can still enjoy it in English, just wanted to point it out for future releases.

Are you sure?
I don't get any errors If install the English version of Final Fantasy VII, also I think the error is something strange like "ulgb.exe is missing..."

Hey Brat,

I've just noticed the new Field and Battle Model for Cloud --- TA Bloodshot Edit --- isn't in your list for new mods to download, nor The Big List of Mods, nor listed in the report for Integrated Mods. The file names are:

Field - TAField.rar
Battle - TACloudBattleClassic.rar
Combined Pack - TA Cloud Pack.rar

I haven't installed and tested them yet, but I'll assume if it's not Integrated then there won't be anything to install.

I am editing Tifa's Bootleg and found myself lost on what to post for it. Let me know what's up 

I just wanted to point out even If the "TA Bloodshot Edit" isn't listed in the report of integrated Mods (didn't check to be honest) it installs just fine if you download the Field and the battle model.
I also test the translation feature of Bootleg v40 which unfortunately don't seem to work

tried the following settings:
German disc version + don't translate in Bootleg Options results in ulgb.exe error (aborted after that)
Download Version (installed in German) + translate in German same result as above
English Disc version + translation feature results in numerous missing words (I think because of the long German words)

Q:I'm experiencing black screens, tearing, stuttering and out of memory errors.
A:Bootleg is not compatible with Intel graphics cards.  If you are using a laptop with a Radeon/NVidia card and an Intel CPU, the Intel GPU is most likely the default video card.
  The game uses the default video card which is most likely the Intel GPU.
  Check in the app.log to identify which GPU FF7 is using.
  To force FF7 to run on the Radeon/NVidia GPU, go into the graphics settings and "add" the file/app, "FF7.exe," to run on the improved performance processor.


Also, make sure that you have the latest GPU drivers.

Do you see any videos?
Have you tried running in compatibility mode?  Use the Bootloader configuration.

I don't know why but every time I installed Final Fantasy VII it activated the compatibility mode for WIN98/ME,
once I deactivated it the game played without any issues

Hi, it would be great if someone could help with this little problem.

I installed the disc version to D/Games/Final Fantasy VII (without installing any direct x or synthes..sound..thing)
after that I installed Bootleg with the following settings:

Everything installed fine, no errors or anything else, but Final Fantasy VII won't start
(the only thing I did was to click once in the Graphic settings and corrected the sound driver when the OpenGL settings came up)

After that I bought the downloadable version from the Square Enix shop and Final Fantasy VII does work without mods, with mods same result (won't boot at all)

Can someone help me,please? I really don't know what I did wrong

ah, thank you but if choose to install my game in English and choose Bootleg to do a German translation.
Are the spellnames from the original translation or were they retranslated?
If not I would gladly spend my time to build a updated file with the correct German spellnames for other users like me which
prefer the actual notation, because thats something even I can do

Yes, if you use the Bootleg French translation, the game will have mostly French text with the exception of the battle menus and a couple of the FMV's.
Some mods are only available in English: Aeris Revival, Hardcore and Menu Overhaul ReTranslation.

Sorry, to bring up this topic once again, but PitBrat could you answer this question, please?
I'm thinking about buying FFVII2012 from the SquareEnix shop, does it makes any difference which version I buy?
For example, I could buy the German version and let Bootleg do a English translation and vice versa, so in theory it doesn't makes any difference, because I can choose in Bootleg which language I want to play.
And if buy the English version and Bootleg does a translation to German, is the (I think kernel2.bin contains the spells, correct me if I'm wrong, please) kernel2.bin updated with the correct spellnames? Feura instead of Feuer2 (sorry I don't know the English Word for Fire2 Spell)

And one last thing can Bootleg manage the Disc change for the downloadable version of FFVII2012.

I recently discovered some more damaged files in the Remix version of battle.lgp.
I believe this is the source of battle scene crashes.
I've altered Bootleg to no longer use damaged Remix archives.

The Remix will be history soon!

Hi, did you also integrated the new Apz Cloud model and FF7Music, because I didn't find anything in the changelog.

I also read something about translations, does this mean the German, French and Spanish version of the game are supported?, and what happens if I
got the German version and I install Bootleg? and B) I install Bootleg with Menu Overhaul retranslation?
