Bootleg Questions / Re: [Tutorial] Tifa's Bootleg

@wiley87

What version of the game do you have, 1998 or 2012?

For music enhancements, search on the forums for Anxious Heart.

For graphical enhancements, search on the forums for Universal Model Installer and Ozmy's FFVII Field Pack.

Whatever else you want you will need to search and read for yourself: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=12503.0 --- Every mod can be installed separately from Bootleg and usually come with instructions on how to do so. If you are going to do the manual installs, it's not recommended to use Bootleg at all. Bootleg does have a Minimal Preset that might be for you. Just make sure to change the game mode to Hardcore before you run it.

@nikolaz

You are running on Intel HD Graphics, which runs poorly and isn't supported for these mods. Does your laptop have a GPU?

Your battle menu looks that way because you have enabled Break Limit 9999 for both Menu Overhaul and Bootloader Configure. Leave it unchecked inside Bootloader Configure.

@WSabey

I am really sorry for not responding to you. To be honest, I can't replicate your problem. The only thing else I can offer is to try running with vsync turned off and refresh rate set to 59. Test them separately.

thanks for the response.

i believe i have all mods working, except it doesn't allow me to choose the hardcore version before starting up the game. i have the hardcore mod (.6 version) so in bootleg it is in red, as that says the .5 is needed.

i'm not really sure what to do, as everything seems to work until it gets to actually running the game, where it says no other game modes are available.

Hello all, firstly thankyou all for your contributions. This game is most definitely my favourite of all time, so firstly having a remake was good. Then finding out about this community minutes after made it even better.

I've been fiddling with all the settings for around 20 hours, mostly non-stop, as i have been encountering a fair few problems. I would fix one, but then another would come up. I've now got to a point where everything seems fine apart from the game setting.

I go through all the steps of the bootleg with all the correct files, HOWEVER, with gjoerulv I could not find the .5 release, only the newest .6. That would then stay in red, so i just renamed it .5 and carried on, not sure how stupid this is of me as before it worked fine and I could use the harder gameplay.

Now however, all my mods are working except i do not get the bootloader config pop up box, it just goes straight into the Play and Configure part. Also, there is no choice for Game Mode, it says there is nothing else (although I went through the patch process).

Is it just a matter of me not checking 1997 instead of 2012 rerelease that has caused issues, or is there something here that i am missing? Essentially all i want is the exact same game, only with harder difficulty and a few graphical and musical enhancements.

w7 +sp1 x64.
Bought off Square Enix site, re-release.
Installed to C:\Games\FF7.
