Dziugo has been helping me with my crashes.... thank god. Just recovered from the gondola crash.... any more i can expect down the road?

What about these weird crashes/freezes like the cosmo canyon, gondola and possibly the execution scene (haven't made it that far yet but i dread to think of another crash). XP really f***s this game up mayne.

Os: Windows XP (for experience trouble)
Patches: 1.02, chocobo, hi-res cloud, reunion, hi resolution ffvii and the psx music one.
video card: geforce fx 5500 overclocked with forceware drivers.
I need a permanent solution to these problems because it is very bothersome to keep asking "can you play through this for me?" you know what i mean??
[edit] dziugo, i will be sending my save file to your email. Will post back here when completed. Thanks. In the meantime, this permanent solution I seek.... where can it be??

Well after the cosmo canyon crash I've now encountered the infamous... gondola crash! I've tried the true motion codec... no good, software mode... no good, quarter screen... no good, software and quarter screen... still no good. Can someone please play through it to the next save for me>?? also tell me what you think about my stats and materia building. Thanks.

Before i got to junon i had every character except yuffie, cait sith (how the hell do you pronounce that anyway) vincent and cid on their level 3 limits. LoL. This cosmo canyon glitch is pretty annoying. Hey i'll send my save to you now. Thanks alot man. My email is [email protected]

Well i don't know about the thread starter but i bought my copy of ffvii and have the same glitch. In the observatory in Cosmo Canyon right after the shooting star/meteor/black hole scene my game juss freezes. The music plays, aeris still blinks her eyes but their is no dialogue boxes from Bugen. HELP! Supreme ffvii addict here.
I'm running the 1.02 patch, hi-res cloud, reunion patch, chocobo patch, high resolution ffvii patch: On windows xp. All help is GREATLY appreciated! i'm stuck.

honestly it's working great. so far only 1 crash and im up to the pillar battle on disc 1. I'm running the 1.02 patch, hi-res cloud patch, the reunion and chocobo patch.... knocks on wood.

I just bought a geforce fx 5500. I have the 1.02 patch installed, no matter what i do everytime cloud hops off the train the whole screen goes black but i can still hear the sound! Can someone take me thru a step by step process on how i can get this game to work!! PLEASE I REALLY WANNA PLAY THIS GAME AGAIN!! I'm so frustrated. Help!

Hey i'm going to walmart to pick up a video card because my stupid intel onboard video is garbage. The screen goes black with ff7 as soon as cloud jumps out the train. I've tried the 1.02 patch to no avail. Will any video card with ati or nvidia technology work?? i'll be lookin for something in the $50 range with a pci interface.
