Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh

I didn't get the Final Fantasy soundtrack. It was an auction, you must know, and someone bid up to 135 DM for the FF8 soundtrack (the other ones were as expensive as that one too)! Thats too much for a used soundtrack, I think. And , it's too expensive. But hey, I'll wait for the next auctions  I'll get it, and if it takes some time...

What I know till now: FF7: Good songs, not so good quality, memorable
FF8: Very fast and good songs like "the man with the machine gun" or "the landing" but not so memorable
FF9: ? How is the music like? FF7? Are there much memorable tracks? Tell me!

(sorry when I made mistakes but my english is not so good, I'm 15)

I have a T-DSL flatrate meaning my connection is very fast and it only costs 49 DM per month and it doesn't matter how long I surf. I use winmx to share my mp3s and download from others. It's not the problem that I can't get those mp3s but I don't want to. I want to buy one of the albums because I love Final Fantasy and its music. I only want to hear your opinions. The FF7 soundtrack is good but it's a little old, I mean, it doesn't sound so good even from the cd, or? The music greatly improved from FF7 over FF8 to FF9 (technical). I want to know, if they improved "musically" too (don't know how to say). I never listened to the FF9 soundtrack before but I heard it should be better than FF7 and 8. What experiences did you made with those soundtracks?

Hi to all Final Fantasy Fans out there. Can you help me? I wanted to buy a Final Fantasy soundtrack. The problem is, here in Germany you can hardly get them and even if you find one it is very expensive. Now I've found someone who sells the FF7 FF8 and FF9 soundtrack. I can only afford one because I'm 15 years old and don't get so much pocket money. I played FF7 and FF8 and they were great and the music ruled. I didn't play FF9 so far because I don't have a playstation and I'am not going to buy one only because of FF9. What do you think which soundtrack is the best and worth buying? Which ones do you own? FF7 FF8 or FF9? Hope you can help me decide. Thanks.

Oh and can we perhaps exchange mp3s? I really can't buy more than one album.

Hi

I have FF8 for PC and use the Geforce Patch 1.2 'cause I have a Geforce 2 MX, P3 900, 256 mb ram. I use the detonator 6.5 driver official, and I have some Framerate problems even on this powerfull system. When being on the world map the framerate isn't that good and when flying with the ragnarok it's much bader. Also when calling Eden up in the battle the framerate drops down to 10 or so. That's anoying because when you try to boost Eden it's really slow and you'l tip wrong very soon.

Does anyone knows this problem and knows what to do?

Thanks

General Discussion / Final Fantasy? Not every time...
« on: 2001-07-02 00:09:00 »
I don't like Diablo2. It isn't a real RPG, it's more hack'n slay. I think there aren't real good RPGs for the PC. Look at Silver, it's more an adventure and the control with the mouse is terrible!

Also I never heard of an PC version from Grandia2. Does anyone else? I just bought a dreamcast and Grandia2 because I thought it will not be released on PC or Gamecube (I hate PS2, it's much too expensive).

General Discussion / Final Fantasy? Not every time...

Hi there,

I just started this topic to talk about non Final Fantasy RPGs. Final Fantasy is top but what's about the other RPGs which doesn't even come from Squaresoft? Well, I personally love Grandia 2 from Ubisoft and Game Arts. It's great. The cool battle system and the great graphics are really enjoyable. There are no random enemy accounters, that means u can evade all enemys if u want to, but u don't want to because every battle in Grandia 2 makes a lot of fun because u can make real cool tactics to don't even loose 1 HP if u're lucky :-) Or remember Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore and the great Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo. Of course, they are from square but they really won over the Final Fantasy games on the snes.

What are your favorite non Final Fantasy RPGs?

General Discussion / Your Names...
« on: 2001-06-11 22:32:00 »
First my nickname (if anyone remembers the topic headline after this long, long mp3 list...)
If anyone played Seiken Densetsu 3 alias Secret of Mana 2 you'll remember the Ninja character u can choose called Hawkeye. First this was my nickname because I liked the character and, of course, the name. The problem was, that the name is already used very often in the Internet and so I wanted to change it. I searched in the game again: U know that u can evolve him to "Nightblade" or? This name sounds rather cool and so I wanted to use this one. But again, to many user had this nickname and so, after thinking about "iceblade" or "fireblade" (which were already used, too :-) ) I changed it to ancientblade because I think it sounds cool and I didn't even found one user having this nickname :-) Also, I am very sure that if u register (like I did here) u'll certainly be lucky and u can use the same name whereever u want! (look at my email adress :-) )

Oh, and something to Final Fantasy MP3s.:

I live in Germany and so u can't buy or get those official Soundtracks everywhere! :-( I would instantly buy them if I could! FF7,8,9, the music is great! I downloaded some tracks from the FF8 ost:
 http://www.plasticman.org/gamingmusic/ff8.shtml" TARGET=_blank>http://www.plasticman.org/gamingmusic/ff8.shtml

If I had had DSL or Cable it would have gone MUCH faster ... Even only one MP3 takes so long to download that u can't download all with a 56k modem. But the Soundtracks are really good! Only some have cracks (in the music, I mean)
