Thanks a lot it worked, I also didn't pay attention to the installer, it also explains how to install the patch, which was dumb of me. Applying the patcher this way answered my question.
Characters look kool, just too small, now to search around these forums to get'em bigger.

"But why ppl always create new thread instead of post it in the official NPC RC project"
Lol, I was trying to decide wheather to kreate a new post or post it in the official NPC RC project, I coundnt make up my mind, so decided to just create a new post since it was faster.  But I'll consider next time to post in any official related thread.

I been away from the ff7 scene for quiet some time,
now i downloaded the new NPC Reconstruction project v0.6, i only noticed the field (outworld) characters have changed, but others characters from the in-world did not change ("char.lgp", "chocobo.lgp", "world_us.lgp", these files appeared with bigger size after I used the v0.6 installer & also "char" folder was also created, was applied to fresh new ff7 installation).

about a year ago last time i messed around with v0.3 of npc project, i saw lots of changes.
My question is v0.6 an update to the previous versions and i have update them manually or the v0.6 contains everything the older versions have?

if Eidos intro is perfectly centered, then their must be a way to get rid of that black border.

I'd be happy to write the patch (if it hasn't already been done or started), I'll probably start it sometime in the next 2 days (my day off).

Just tried several combinations of installing patches, still windows doesnt show numbers in safe and slot spinning shows nothing. According to the Megapatch readme, it says it uses the latest 0.99 of the hires patch.

Can't seem to figure out whats causing these mini bug.

Yeah your right, cuz i didnt experience these bugs with v0.99 of the HiRes patch.  Maybe the mega patch uses an older version of the hires patch or maybe these issues occur when having most patches activated at the same time.

First of all, i would like to say great job to the author of this mega patch (as well to creators of these mods) definately saves hassel installing these mods the manuel way.  as for No-CD, there meant to save time so you dont have to waste time inserting discs and waiting for the discs to load, also so can keep your original disc in a new condition by not using it.  It's ok use the No-CD if "YOU OWN THE ORIGINAL GAME", but if you have a Copied version (meaning you don't own the original), then its illegal to use a no-cd or backup cd executible.

I encountered a mini bug, with the following installed:
1. Higher Resolution
2. The Ruinion
3. Hi-quality Cloud
4. PSXMusic Patch (and FF7Music patch)
5. Windows 2000/XP Crash fix

When i go to nibelheim mansion, when you go to safe to unlock vincent: the time limit window shows, but the safe combination window doesn't show the numbers.

has anyone encountered this, does anyone know which of the patches causes this issue?

I wanna know if I rip the movies scenes from ff7 psx version (which appear to be much clearer than pc version, and i also plan to enhanced them as well) convert then into divx or xvid and delete the pc version movie scenes with my converted ones, will this work?

I assume it has to be the same resolution as pc movies.  Has any tried doing this or done something similar such as replacing a movie scenes with whatever movie you wanted?  And will this work?

Download psf Files(Background music of FF7 psx version)
http://www.zophar.net/psf/FF7_psf.rar

Download Highly Experimental v2.07 (Winamp Plugin that allows you listen psf files in winamp)
http://www.zophar.net/utilities/download/HE207.zip

You don't need winamp, you need this plugin for the music patch.
If you don't have the music patch, get it from the "Game Tweaking"\"Compilation of programs" section of these forums and scroll down till you see the music patch, after you download the music patch, follow the readme file.

Archive / The grid problem
« on: 2005-09-28 17:49:03 »
You wats funny, I had the high resolution woking without the need of rivaturner, then some other day i uninstalled the game, then installed it again sometime later and that annoying grid thing appeared.  so i was forced use rivaturner and disable 8-bit palettized textures which can be annoying to enable and disable when playing different games & ff7 back and fourth.

Point is, that if it worked without me using rivaturner, their must be a way to configure ff7 to work with the high resolution patch without disabling 8-bit palettized textures.

having the resolution at 1280x960 doesnt do nothing (with the patch of course), still looks the same.

They gots to be anotha alternative.

burnzy is right, dat multi patch doesnt work, the music patch doesnt seem to combine with the high resolution patch.

"download and install the high res patch, install it on top of the 1.02 patch. then download and install ff7music with ff7 soundfont"

Ima give dat a try.

I remember having solutions to all problems for this game. Only problem i remembered that the screen was not centered was is really annoying. Theres a black border at the bottom of the screen: appears during gameplay, battles & movie scenes. Does not appear in eidos/squaresoft intro, world map & Menu screen. Anybody know a solution to this issue?
Somebody must have as solution to this?  plz reply back.

Im in 3.2ghz HT, 1.5gb ram, Geforce FX5950, Audigy 2 Platinum. I'm also using a HD Plasma, connected thru DVI, screen is centered automatically, does not have vertical or horizontal screen adjustment.

I been browsing these forums and i came across some solution making the music and high resolution patch work in ff7, but didn't work.  Maybe that method just didnt like me, but anyways i been experimenting with the patches and nothing.  Anyone else got a solution, A workable solution once and for all.
