About your reply Remx, checking the TNT option actually fixes it. It didn't work for me before, but after I checked that option and did a little fixing, it worked fine.

Actually, maybe you should try the full install again. The minimum install caused problems for me too, but after I did the full install it worked fine. It also works withs with many different patches like the high-resolution patch, reuinion patch, chocobo patch, ff7music patch, and much more without any problems.

Why dont you guys try using the search option? There are many FF7Music related topics and some even provide a tutorial on how to use it.

Try using gypt, it helped me in a lot of places. This is the link to download gypt. http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=4505&highlight=gypt It shows you how to use it and when in that thread.

I am running FF7 with FF7Music, but it still doesn't work and I can't figure out why. I muted the midi playback in my volume controls. It still plays the original music. For example, when I try to change the battle music to something else, it stays the same no matter what I do. I can't even change the music inside it already like battle to prelude or cosmo canyon to barret's theme! Nothing works.

Edit: Something very strange is going on, I deleted all the PSFs but the music still starts when I start FF7.

Okay, thanks Otokoshi, but the only options in volume control in the playback options are volume control, wave, SW synth, front, subwoofer, center, rear, 3d depth, aux/line in 2, cd player, line in, microphone, phone line, and pc speaker. And can you explain why muting the midi device will allow me to hear the mp3s I have on FF7. Maybe I am confusing you, the music I am listening to from FF7Music is the original mp3s of FF7 but they are minipsf files. What I what is to replace those with mp3s from different songs but they are not minipsf files. How will muting the midi let me be able to hear the mp3s?

Sorry, I'm not really good with computers. Where do you find the sound controls? In the control panel? Where is the midi playback option?

I have the new version of FF7Music (1.5.1.1) from Ficedula's site. After I set up the plugins (I have in_psf.dll for the input plugin and out_ds.dll for the output plugin), changed the paths to search for the music, fixed some playback options, and all that other stuff, the music was working just fine. Now that im hearing about all these people that can replace certain music from ones from Advent Children or different places, it makes me want to change it too. I downloaded a few mp3s so I could replace it with some of the songs. When I go to the tab, "files", and double-click the word for example, "pre", I replace it with the new mp3 that I downloaded. But when I load FF7, the music is still the regular prelude. I try other thing like deleting the "101 Prelude.minipsf" file from the folder, but for some strange reason, it stills plays it. I tried replacing it with other minipsf files, but it still plays the regular prelude. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

I read about the windowed mode but I think there too many bugs with that. The save crystals help, but is there any specific program that lets you save anywhere?

Does anyone know where I can download a save editor or some kind of program that allows you to save anywhere? I really need this because each time I alt+tab out of FF VII, the game crashes. I also get very annoyed when something happens like a popup comes up or my computer freezes, and I have to go way back to where I last saved. I tried to search this forum, but I don't think anyone ever mentioned this. Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Yeah, I activated gypt by pressing Crtl+Shift+F11 when Cloud and Aeris were in the Ghost Hotel room just before the date. I heard the beep. When they were finishing the greatplay cutscene, they still go on the Gondola ride. On my old file, it went straight to Cait Sith. I tried downloading gpyt again, and this time there is no lag, but it still doesn't work. Can you please help me? Thanks!

I downloaded the gypt program and it worked the first time for me, but now I'm at that part again where Cloud and Aeris go on a date. I did all the same things I did before but it didn't work. I think it is because something is wrong with the new version of gypt I downloaded.

It works for me at the Gondola part, but I have a question. Why does everything move very slowly after I activate gypt (ctrl + shift + f11)? Is it supposed to be like that?

I need someone to help me get past the part in the game where you go to the gold saucer to get the key stone. I got the key stone but when I try to get out, the person doesn't let me and I have to go to this ghost hotel. Aeris and Cloud go on a date but when I get to the part after I see all the fireworks go up, they talk for a while, then the game just freezes. Their eyes are still blinking but I can't control them. This is the link where you can get my save file. http://s28.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=12PWSGZHJ9AXN2BMEMRBG6DUGH If you can get past that part please send it to [email protected] I'm hoping that you can help me again ajrock2000 because you helped me get past the Cosmo Canyon scene.

Does anyone know where I can download PSX music for FFVII. I've been hearing about how you can listen to the original songs from the PSX verion. That would be really cool if I could make it work. If you do know where to download this, can you also tell me what is required like any patches or anything? Thanks!
