39. As far as i know, 40 isnt up for download yet.

EDIT: I think the error is partially due to the fact that FFMusic is broken on Windows 8, reinstalling without it (sadly  :'( )  and seeing if that fixes things.

PitBrat, I'm hoping you can help me out with an error that I'm getting. I installed Bootleg on top of my PC2012 copy of FF7 (Win8 x64, ATI 6750, Creative X-fi sound card), and every time I start to load the opening FMV, the game crashes and I get this error:

Entering MAIN
Exiting MAIN
Field Start
INFO: C:\Games\FF7\movies\opening.avi; vp8/vorbis 1280x896, 15.000000 FPS, duration: 119.467000, frames: 1792
ERROR: couldn't lock sound buffer
ERROR: unhandled exception


I'm using the safe loader options, and I'm not entirely sure how to fix this. Any help you could provide would be awesome. I can attach my .bp file and the coredump if needed. Thanks in advance!
