Troubleshooting / FF7 Glitch after Yuffie runs away

Hi all, I've come across this odd glitch while replaying the game.  I'm just starting the Wutai portion of the game.  When exiting the screen after the forced battle (after Yuffie's taken the group's materia and run off) I find myself teleported outside the mythril cave riding a chocobo.  I'm playing the square-enix store re-release converted using the game converter on these forums.  I've also applied aali's newest driver, anxious heart mod and the re-translation from the reunion mod.  If anyone has any idea what's going on and how to either fix or get around this, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks for your amazing work.  I've been really enjoying it in my replay, but I did notice an oddity.  In the scene recruiting Yuffie, rather than her usual theme music the background plays the music from the mythril cave.  It's been a while since I played it on ps1, so I wasn't sure if this was normal or not.  did anyone else notice this?  I'm playing the re-release from the square-enix store converted using the game converter and aali's newest driver installed.  thanks for the help

thanks for your quick reply, dlpb.  I don't have any experience with editing hex values myself, so i'll try finding a cheat engine table that does this.

Now that FF8 has been released on steam, i was wondering if a mod, patch, trainer, or some other method that activated limit breaks in battle was available for the pc version.  I have been searching for a while and haven't been able to find one.  If not, is it because it's simply not possible?  thanks for any help anyone can give.

sorry to bring the topic up again after quite a while, just had some strange issues trying armovil's method in conjunction with black chocobo.  I've editted an existing materia that I never use (added cut or steal as well) as armorvil described, but now I've noticed that cloud (i've edited his equipment using black chocobo to give him the materia) is automatically in haste and absorbs all damage.  how do i fix this?

sorry to bring up a three year old topic, but I was wondering if this would work with the 2012 re-release?  I used wallmarket to edit one of the dummy materias as outlined by armorvil (kranmer's trainer doesn't seem to work) but i haven't been able to put it on anyone's equipment using black chocobo.  is there another way to achieve this effect?  or some other way to fill the limit meter in game?  thanks for the help.
