just get her before you get to rocket town. in the wooded areas right after mt. nibel. she will be at a high level (37 when i got her) and when you go to wutai, it will be easy for her to defeat the 5 story pagoda mofos. just make sure she has regain, haste, and ice 3 before hand.

im at the part where you set up guys to defend fort condor so you can get the huge materia...well i was almost done that boring minigame and then it just crashed out of nowhere. why the hell does ff7 suck so much for computer?

will this codec work for all fmv crashes? im not really too computer literate, but sometimes my game freezes up on fmv's and i have to restart the program and pray that it works

the problem is you're using the ultima edition. there are way too many bugs in it, there's no reason for you to be using it, it creates nothing but problems

i just got up to the part where rufus is about to execute tifa, well right before that part there is a movie of meteor being shown in the sky. when that part happened, my game froze up, but i somehow got past it. (i think it was re-inserting my disc that did it). anyway, i was just wondering if anyone could send me the movie cause i feel like im missing out. the file name is meteosky on cd # 2. if that makes me too much of a douchebag, i understand...

ff7 crashed when it went to load that really short video that shows your gys walking out of the 60th floor eleveator from the security camera. my ff7 window blacked out, shrunk down to a quarter screen, then some error report bullshit. can anyone help a brother out

pressing the confirm button after re-inserting worked every time for me. thanks to you i got up to the shinra building too bad the game crashed at that really short security gurad/elevator fmv

actually i did do the full install and have the original version of the game. however im not sure if i pressed the ok button after re-inserting...don't know how my logic failed me on that one. ill let you know how it turns out

ok so here's the problem: when i am playing the game will randomly come up with a "please insert disc 1" notification and i can't play anymore, even after re-inserting the disc and waiting. so i have to alt+ctrl+del out. and once it crashed at an fmv sequence but it hasn't happened since, im running it in software rendering mode i believe.
i have the "real" version of the game from my friend and the disc is a little scratched, maybe that's the problem. i just cleaned it so hopefully that can help, i was just wondering if anyone else has experience a similar problem?
i have the 1.02 patch, and my system specs are:
windows xp
pentium 4
1 gb ram
ati radeon 9600
i also have divx codecs if that matters
i don't know a whole lot about computers so any help would be fully appreciated
