Under these circumstances, it is probably the best solution to reinstall.
You can move the "save"-folder out of the Gamefolder, also the folder with BFE.exe and the MODs in it.
Uninstall the game and clean the registry with my "FF7 REMOVE Regitstry Keys".
Then reinstall the game in a non-system folder and run my "FF7 Game Converter".
Start the game, that should first call the config, so the last registry key to be set.

Now you can install other mods or start BFE.exe.

Side Note:
In the folder "BackupGC" only the files are backed up, which can also be changed by the GC.
If you want to save more files, you should do before you start BFE.exe.

Would you please do not write new posts but recent edit your post if go together?

Ha... but then, I have to confess that I used your GC again when Template mentioned it thinking it could help. So the backup file I have is the one which is wrong :'(
Is there any other way or will I need to reinstall it all over again ? :p And if so, is it possible to keep the save data apart and copy/past it in the new installation ?

Your problem is that some MOD messed the English condor.lgp.
Or you are missing the images in the folder "mods\Bootleg\condor", as should be splashing around 29 images.

Counted them and all the 29 are accounted for :D

If a MOD messed the English condor.lgp, what can I do then ?

I tried renaming the fcondor one in condor and thus overwritting the one which was there already (got condor / fcondor / gcondor in the data/minigame folder. The game didn't stop but I had a display problem : black screen and when I tried to use "enter" keybord button I got units displaying on blackscreen and couldn't do anything and I could move them randomly in the blackscreen.

I think this is an issue with file names. The new versions of ff7 have a bunch of lgp files that have 4 versions, 1 each for each language. You installed in French or something and now its looking for condor.lgp instead of fcondor.lgp maybe, you could probably just rename these files if that's whats going on. This goes back to how the original install went and using Kompass 63's Game Converter, which will correctly place files based on your language input. If you are playing in French you need to install in French from the beginning and use the bootleg French translation, too. If in English, same for English. Hope this helps.

I installed the game in English and used Kompass converter before running Bootleg. Everything was english from the beginning. Not sure I understand here. I will try and find that condor.lgp file and try to rename it as fcondor.lgp.

I did turn off the shaders and put the # infront the load = multi.dll.

I tryed and launch the game : black screen but behind it was a windows error telling me there was a problem with FF7.exe. However I couldn't access to this window so I had to shut off FF7.

Hello,

Back from work and kid in bed. I uninstalled ATI driver and Catalyst Control Center and installed the 13.5 one found in another thread.

I launched the game using the loader and the prompt appearing, then blackscreen and it stayed black. Thought I would see Square logo or something but nothing happened. After like 15 seconds, I hit "enter" and few seconds later I was back on my desktop.

I closed and started again the computer and tried again to launch the game but then I am back to my older problem : prompt, then black screen for like 1 sec, then back to desktop.

Not sure what that program would be. To deactivate the multi screen, I simply goes in the "screen resolution" of windows and just say that I want my desktop on my first screen.

Thanks for your quick reply. I went to config.exe and chose custom driver as I didn't do that before. A window appear telling me "Self test passed! You are now ready to use the custom driver. See ff7_opengl.cfg for configuration." As for the sound, the test is passed.
When I try to launch the game I still have the same issue. However there is no more new entry in my APP. It is weird and I am afraid I won't be able to play this game with the modes :(

Hello,

I tried that, but everything is selected as it should be and I got the same problem still. Just to make sure I am clear : the command prompt pop-up appear and disappear, then I can see something telling me about ctr+L (I think) for save games, then my main screen goes black as if the game is launching, then I get back to my desktop.

Hello,

I have tryed to resolve the issue I have : when I try and launch the game with Bootloader, it doesn't... There is a blackscreen as if the game was about to launch but then back again on my desktop.

I have done the solution for DLL problem, but now Windows journal gives me this problem : "A request to disable the Desktop Window Manager was made by process (FF7.exe)"

I have ATI card. I am running a dual screen with extended desktop but I already tried to deactivate the second screen and I still go the same error.

What can I do ?
