I am using "New Threat 2.0 Combat only" with Finishing touch and the expanded icons don't show up, as in no icons at all. The normal icons work well (when i disable "extended icons") and everything else also works always.  I understand it is a compatibility issue because if I disable NT the extended icons work. I'm not sure there is a way to fix it but i wanted to mention it, otherwise thanks for the mod, really love the personalized battle UI.

You should be able to get around this by using Wizard Staff.

IIRC there's a file somewhere in an lgp called something like "names" "people" which is essentially like a text file with all the names and it runs through them, but editing it is fairly complicated. It would be a lot easier to either literally tack on your own credits to the end of ending2.avi or edit the opening credits which are just images in the 'cr' folder, both of which we did with Echo-S.

While this is an English speaking forum, it is a world-wide PSX era Final Fantasy forum. We have mods in all kinds of different languages. It is totally the mod author's prerogative to release in any language they want.

It makes perfect since. They both are fixes and additions to the nino chibi mod. But you're not using the nino chibi mod. You're using the nino HD mod, which is a totally different thing.

It's kind of like asking why a Ford Focus bumper won't fit on a Ford Mustang . Even though they're both Ford.

Btw, in this case "HD" doesn't mean High definition vs low definition. With Nino, HD just means "tall". And chibi is "classic proportions"... HD is a bad/misleading name in hindsight with the addition of of the chibi set.

No you can't use echo-s and SAC at the same time. They have completely different scripts. Wrong voices would play over wrong characters, you'd get crashes, it would be a shit show. They will flat out just not work together. You can't mix and match new threat with either mod for the same reasons

Cloud is losing his head because you're trying to use Nino chibi fixes and that nino chibi soldier first class thing with Nino HD models, rather than Nino chibi models.

You can't use Jessie mod with New threat.
AAvockESUI requires ESUI to function.

As far as the materia growth thing, it's because SAC changes the text to say "Materia Growth" when the vanilla game just says "Growth". ESUI's rearranged menus doesn't account for this. It expects it to just say "Growth" like the regular game does and spaces it accordingly.

But I'm not aware of any other issues...

I noticed that there has been an update "for new opening FMV method", but the opening FMV is still heavily out of synch for me.
This has been my favorite music mod ever since I found it, so it'd be a shame if this issue never got resolved.
Fixed. Apparently, you're the first person to use this mod in 4 months lol.

No, 7h has always required the english version. The game converter used to convert the game to english for you. Now you have to do it yourself by choosing the language in steam is the only difference for the end user.

"steam deck fix" in ESUI should no longer be necessary as ESUI has built in 16:10 compatibility. That may actually be your issue.

Those kinds of contingencies were accounted for. 60fps should have no bearing on encounter rate. The fps were doubled, so the encounter rate was halved via coding.

Not interested.  This mod is a pile of shit and I'm done with it.
Considering it's literally the most widely used and most popular gameplay mods and I've never once heard it be called "way too hard", sounds like a skill issue to me. Don't blame the mod, especially after the winning strategy was spoon fed to you. And if you don't want the help, then why the hell did you bother registering an account and posting in the first place?

Heya, new to the FF7 modding scene.
Is there any way this mod's contents can be combined with the Finishing Touch mod? There's certain aspects between the two that I would love to combine but since they're considered separate mods I don't seem to be able to. Or at the very least could you add some additional UI tweaks for Retouch in the future?

The biggest issues I'm currently facing while using Retouch over Finishing Touch is the inability to see the Total HP/MP during battle and the missing "Icon Order" (the A:B/X:O - OK:Cancel - Swap" option) and "Button Mapping" fix options that Finishing Touch offers to correct the buttons displayed based on the setup.

For the HP/MP issue, perhaps the battle UI could add bars to at least give some visual representation of how much the # displaying is out of your total? And while I haven't got to a stage of using Barrier/MBarrier yet to validate, the bars for those seem like they could be pretty tiny to see.

Not as dire, but it would be cool combining the different "Expanded Icons" options to have a choice between the ones already used in Finishing Touch and the Remake/Rebirth ones used in Retouch.

Also I'm not trying to come across as demanding or anything, so if I am understand I'm genuinely just curious about these things since both mods appear to be authored by Bonez. I dunno if these things would be possible or are potentially coming in a further update, but I hope they are. Retouch is by far one of my favorite looking UI design mods and I WANT to use it over Finishing Touch.

If you need to reverse your ok/cancel, you can do that in the "buttons" section. All the reversed options are there.

As far as HP bars, the HP bars can't be themed so they wouldn't fit the remake theme. Also there just isn't any room for them. Anyway, FF1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 never had HP bars or total HP. They aren't really necessary.

New here!

I seem to be running into an issue with Finishing Touch's battle View UI layouts. When I choose either the Finishing Touch or Finishing Touch 2 options The "box" around the right side UI elements don't seem to appear at all for me. Other ones like Optimized UI or Optimized UI 2 seem to let the boxes show just fine. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what. Any suggestions? I can provide my mod setup/configurations if needed.

That happens if you're using custom colors and not one of the color scheme choices in FT.  Because if you use custom colors, it wouldn't match the right side backgrounds, so it makes them transparent.

7th Heaven requires the English version of the game. You need to change the language in Steam.

no, i started a new game after installing 7th heaven and SAC and my other mods. my save point is in wall market, so i turned off SAC, loaded the game, went down to the next screen and got this:

To be fair, that could have been anything. Not necessarily SAC.

Just because 2/72 vendors from virustotal flags something doesn't mean the software "has a virus". Those are false flags, which is evident by the low number. You seem pretty misinformed about virustotal and what their information means. You need to be careful of software that has an overwhelming amount of flags and poor community score, not 2/72 with positive community score. Your computer is totally safe installing 7th Heaven from our github page. Why would we put the virustotal link on the github if it was nefarious? Same thing goes for SYW.

And if we had a portable version, it would be exactly the same as what you'd get with the installer.

It's actually more dangerous to download portable .exe's... In an effort to avoid viruses, you're basically asking for a workaround to virus protection lol... If you don't trust us, you shouldn't use our mods at all. Portable or otherwise...

I think most users are going to be confused by the death scene option especially given the way it's worded with "famously". This definitely isn't going to be the last time someone says it's not working correctly. So be ready for that lol.
