I have my laptop hooked up to my TV through an HDMI connecter plugged into my display port. However, for some reason I can't get the sound to stream to the TV instead of the laptop speakers. I should clarify that the sound DOES work, but it only outputs to the laptop. Even after muting the laptop speakers and setting my TV's sound device to primary, I still don't get any sound.

Any suggestions?

Hey man, did you ever manage to get it fixed? I'm having the exact same issue, music plays through the tv, but the sound effects insist to come out of the laptop. Tried everything!
