Troubleshooting / Wrong enemies in wrong location -- Never modded before

Hey guys I'm using Tifa's Final heaven bootleg
I've never had FF7 installed before (just bought it from Steam for this purpose) and here was my route:
1. Buy FF7
2. Install Tifa's from the directions
3. Play
So in other words, the suggestion that I mucked up files with another install is wrong. I'm not sure how to procedure.
If I need to reinstall can you please tell me where the saved game is located so I can try that? Thanks
