yes I did, well I have the 'latest' nvidia drivers for a 5200 card on Windows 7 (which aren't very new but the newest ones Nvidia offers...

ok well I think I found the problem

plain ol' basic 1.02 FF7 hates my machine

it just boots to black screen as well

yay...

*EDIT*

looks like i found the problem

if i press esc when i load the game it goes to the new game selection screen

looks like a problem with the video codec...

thanks for your reply  :)

i tried totally uninstalling ff7 and deleted everything, then reinstalled ff7 and then the remix

lets see...

turning prevent_rounding_errors to no just makes FF7 crash (screen goes black, reverts to Desktop, error message ff7.exe has stopped working...)

setting the resolution to 640x480 and keeping prevent rounding errors turned on does the same thing

keeping everything at its default just makes the screen go black, and it just sits there until i pull up the task manager and end the program

funny, no more internal resolution errors

what in the world...

it's not working on my Pentium 4 machine running Windows 7

when i set the resolution to ANYTHING other 1280x960 I get an error when loading the game

"internal resolution too high, check app.log for more information"

here's the app.log data:

when I run the game using 1280x960, the screen is off centered to the left, and when i reach the new game/continue menu, the picture of the sword is missing and there's a character map (a b c 1 2 3 etc) on the screen as well

What is going on here?

Haha depends...not much of a hacker so I can't help in improving the game. I could however stick around and help answer questions since I've had and fixed almost every problem under the sun with this game. Haha... :D

Well I went back to down to 1.50 and everything is back to normal...I think looping works in this version too? I hope so.

Yeah I could switch back...it just means I would have to deal with the lack of looping.
Thanks though!

It's an Nforce4 onboard, I believe the chipset is one of those generic AC97 ones. I have a SB Live and would be using that but it broke on me. :P

Hello~
Does anybody else have a problem with the newest version of FF7 Music? Mine seems to delay playing the songs and sometimes for example continues to play the battle victory music a minute after I'm back on the world map before switching to the world map music. It didn't do that in the older version that you could download from ffsf.cjb.bet but I like how looping works with this one. I am using the commercial version of FF7 with the 1.02 patch, 2.07 of in_psf and the newest ficedula program and dll. I tried searching for a solution here and a few people seem to hint at the problem but I found no solution. Please tell me if I need to submit any more information regarding my system.
Thanks
Adam
