7th Heaven / 7th Heaven Screen Tearing & Fullscreen Issues
« on: 2015-10-26 21:30:15 »
Hello,

I am unable to load the 7th Heaven game in full screen mode and also get screen tearing from the very beginning video screen with EIDOS.  I have a feeling it's an issue with my graphics card and the Windowed Bordeless Gaming app doesn't seem to recognize the game when I open it up.

Anyone else experience similar issues and found a solution?

Thanks in advance.

To be clear, the error message I'm getting reads something like this "Postprocessing initialized failed.  Check APP.log for details"

When I check the APP.log, I see the following:

Looks like following the instructions got rid of the video error but now I'm getting an error on post processing.  Says to check app.log.  Any ideas?

I'll try these instructions.  Hopefully that'll solve the issue.  Thanks for the help!

I'm running Parallels on my Mac with Windows 7.  Under Device Manager and my Display adapters, all I see is "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" which is also up to date.

7th Heaven / Re: Getting Error Message for Texture Mods

I was able to manually create a Textures folder in the mods folder as a workaround and I no longer get this error message.  I am getting another video error though which I'm hoping someone may be able to help out with.

7th Heaven / Video Error Message When Running 7th Heaven
« on: 2015-10-21 21:21:01 »
Hello,

I keep getting the following error message when I click "Launch Game" in 7th Heaven.  When I click on "OK", the window just closes and I'm taken back to 7th Heaven so the game won't even start.

"OpenGL renderer does not support OpenGL 2.0.  Your graphics drivers are probably not up to date.  Shaders are required since version 0.8."

Anyone encounter this or know how to resolve?

7th Heaven / Getting Error Message for Texture Mods
« on: 2015-10-20 18:24:22 »
I am trying to download the Texture mods from 7th Heaven and it looks like they are installed correctly.  When I re-open 7th Heaven, I get the following error message:

"The following errors were found in your configuration: Aali Modpath C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\mods\Textures not found
The settings window will now be displayed so you can fix them."

This is the folder that the instructions and tutorial say to install the Textures though so I'm a bit confused.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, it looks like the ones that are erroring out are the Texture related mods.  Other than those, I'm getting errors for the Movies mod and the Music and Sound mod.

I've tried restarting multiple times.  Keep running into the same issue though.  I looked on the Frequently Asked Questions and it looks like the "Download Error" message is common.  The post mentions to just leave it up and running and that the download should eventually start and finish again.  I've tried this as well and still no luck.

Will do.  Thank you for your help!

7th Heaven / Error Downloading Mods from 7th Heaven
« on: 2015-10-14 21:53:42 »
Hello,

I'm trying to download all the mods from the catalog in 7th Heaven but I keep getting "Error Downloading" messages for a few that I'm trying to get.  The downloads seem to be going fine up until the end and right after it finishes, the error message appears in the right pane.

Any ideas?

Great, thank you!  I keep getting error messages when I try and download the mods.  Any workaround with this?

Thank you!

I won't run into the same graphics issues if I follow the steps for 7th Heaven?

Hello,

I am hoping someone might be able to help with a video issue I'm having.  I'm currently running Parallels on my Mac and I'm trying to play the modded version of Final Fantasy 7 using the Steam version.  The modded process seemed to go pretty smoothly as I got only yellow/green cells across the board.  After I ran Bootloader though, I got this error message:

"OpenGL renderer appears to be the Microsoft software renderer.  Your graphics drivers are probably not installed or installed incorrectly.  Expect Extreme Lag".

After this, I see a half filled Final Fantasy back splash followed by a "Continue" and "New Game" option screen with nothing but a black screen in the back.  I click on "New Game" and then I hear some random opening scene noises and a window message from Barrett saying "Hey newcomer. Follow me".  After that, it's just black and I'm forced to "Force Quit" the game.

I've tried using Aali's custom driver with no luck.  When I look under Device Manager, Parallels has my Windows 7 Display adapter listed as "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".

I've spent a lot of time trying to play this game on my Mac and getting the mods list ready.  Feel like I'm almost there and this is the last issue that needs to be solved.  Already spent a lot of time troubleshooting it with no success.  Hoping someone can help?

Thank you in advance!
