Hi dear Sega Chief, been a few years since I last played your best boy mod. Gotta say, a LOT of mods have improved since last time, especialy ninos models, so cute! :-D

Anyways, as Im playing a new round w your mod among others, I was wondering. I never liked Cait Sith as a character(nor its Limit Breaks/body), but liked Reeve. Is it possible, by any chance, down the line, to remove CS from game and replace it with Reeve? Could be given new attacks/Limits etc. Always wanted to play him, but also always disliked CS, lol. Could be after ancient temple or even at once, making a yuffie like reason to join, ie Marlene, or Jessie/Biggs/Wedge hostages etc. Since his dissapointment is immeasurable and his day is ruined uppon whitnessing Shinras treatment of Midgar, people etc, it cant be far fetched to say he can just have a change of his Anxious Heart and joint the crew, after the Ancient Temple. Could even leave that small cat robot thingy on his back to justify eventual same Limmit Breaks, build & whatnot. Im having fun just thinking of possibilities here.
I know its a lot of work, just wishfull thinking.

Also admiring finished Echo S and Archaeology Cut mods, they both look and sound great, but cant give up smiley man and role specific plays anymore for the life of me.

Have there been any talks between the 3 groups/modders of ever joining these 3 into one, or even make them compatible in any way. Now THAT would be an ultimate FF7 blast to the past!

Just killed Zolom w bunch of attack items, love the little & big changes so far! Cant wait to see more!

Is there a guide or tips & tricks text/pdf/guide on your mod walkthrough? Also a question to players as well. Last time i always had to scour this thread or ask anew questions im sure many others have asked before me and vice versa. And since the mod is updated occasionaly, old info might be invalid etc.
Would be nice to have it all in one place and then just updated per need.
Im aware of excels and texts at first page. Im talking more the boss tactics, builds etc.
If I was younger and had more time, wouldve gladly just done it myself, but I dont have so much time anymore, what with life and all. 40+ yo gamer, lol.

Regardles of all else, thank you again for all your love, work and effort, put in this mod and game, appreciate it a lot!

Source Point upgrade system, there are just 4 upgrades now, not 8 or more as before? Just asking before implementing first upgrade.

Also are Fort Condor defense games same as og, meaning deffeat & lose tactics for rewards, or is something changed? See, Ive already started asking what is probably been answered here before, lol!

PPS I just finished saving Priscilla before Junon and after battle, she was verticall the whole time, instead of horizontal. Even her father carrying her, she was upright. I dunno if its a bug of your mod or maybe field model mod bug, just reporting it.
Or maybe she was just too stuck up, lol.

PPPS Was wondering, is it possible to add some status or elemental effects to Tifas Limit Breaks? They are the most dull & boring of the bunch, honestly, even though she is, after Cloud the most popular character in FF7 universe. Or even rework them if technicaly possible?
Ie one attack has a percentage/probability to trigger for slow, another stop, blind, poison, ignore def(if enemy is phys res, at least one attack will do full dmg) etc. Percentage can be fixed or modified by stats or weapon/armor stats. Fixed or random elemental attack, so it cant be abused & to get a roulette option, for funsies.
Would be great to have variety there as well.

I think Back off would fit better.

Hi guys, I installed 7th heaven again after years of playing other games. I have game crash as soon as I start it up via 7th.

Game is playable normally via Steam, also via 7th but with no mods active(but many installed).
If I activate ANY ONE mod, it crashes. So its not mod order or conflict.

I found ffnx site and also installed it in main game folder, no difference.

I have lenovo legion 5 pro, windows 11. amd cpu, nvidia 4060.

Game version is Steam.
7th v4.4.0.0 stable.
Installed game on D partition not C/windows one bc of space requirements.

Location is D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII
IROs location is
D:\SteamLibrary\7th Heaven\
Also says so in 7th general settings.

On channel management in general settings
7th stable
Ffnx
Reshade
All are/say stable versions

Ffnx version is latest 1.2300

Didn't touch game driver/launcher settings

Catalog subs has 2 correct urls. So everything works fine, but it crashes if any of installed mods are active.

Can you help me, I dunno what I'm doing wrong?

Hey guys, i got all installed on my lap, Windows 7 32bit, iso working, but i get this message once game screen starts up:

OpenGL renderer does not support OpenGL 2.0. Your graphics drivers are probably not up to date. Shaders are required since version 0.8.

So i can only shut down message and screen.

Now my lap is bought in 2007, and im sure there aint no new drivers for it... Its toshiba satelite. Yeah i can hear you guys screamin  with tears laughing - get a new one!

I got a pc but im not home and not gonna be for a few months more, so...

Is it my guess that thats it or does someone have any advice? Anyway to get that opengl support or/and shaders support on it?

Log and dump are in the zip if needed.

PPS forgot, if i installed Windows 8 or 10 would it make any difference? And is there a difference in 32/64 versions, if one is not compatible w ff7/7h or not?

how do i disable? what is ochu and 7h? thanks for your help.
As DLBP said for ochu, disable run in tools section and in 7h you have cheats mod disable running there, wherever you have it checked.

hey, i really like this mod so far, but am having trouble in aeris's house. i put on auto run when i installed but even though i try walking out, when i get past the bedroom door, something happens and it triggers a run, which triggers aeris and i can't escape. is there a way to quickly turn on and off the autrorun? or am i doing something wrong?

Yeah, disable autorun(both in ochu and 7h), its triggering creacking action always. Even holding circle to walk doesnt work. You can enable it afterwards.

Lol it was the textures crashing the game after all, for whatever reason. But OMG those old graphics, i was shocked. Got so used to using updated gfx textures, i forgot how blurry the original was!

Thx guys for helping eliminate probable causes.

Edit: so i got team avalanche gui to work, just copied folders from their zip to mods-textures folder and fonts etc is very beautiful. No letters juming out of boxes.
But theres no invisible boxes no lije there was before, dunno if it was ochu working and ir doesn't now or i got some mod todo it. Note to self - write down what you mod next time.

Anyways guys use team avalanche gui it updates menus a lot. If you cant find it ill upload it and send link, i hope that's, um, legal/allowable?

PS it's NOT 7h iro, just to be clear.

Cave of the Gi. Head for the back of the cave.

I cant open gi cave door even though i got gi cave and seraph comb from Bugen, do i have to go to North Crater for option to activate/door to open?

No all mods are through 7h. The only thing I can think of is i have certain graphics in folders copied instead of satsukis gfx mod in iro, so ill try removing it from mods textures folder and see. It wasnt a problem so far afaik.

well if i disable all mods then 7H gives me message - no mods have been activated. i have to enable at least 1 mod for 7H to launch, thats why i left music, seemed least obvious to cause problem. tried launching ff7.exe directly, same effect. any suggestions?

ive reached sector 8 during midgar raid mission and game crashes if i try to climb down first ladder. i switched off ochu, turned off all mods save music, same result. Help? here are applog and crash save files:

Lol yeah the reflect happens 4 times on both sides each, so 9th time it affects enemy if you hit it first with a spell. Dunno if your whole party would be affected by all+cure that way try it,off course aim cure at enemy first so it ends up on you.

Dunno onegaminus, havent gotten to disc 3 yet... Hope its not a bug on my game, but an available feature.
i got 2. apocalypse at ancient forest second to end screen, from the chest that says and no one attacked!, i got 1. recently, i think from gelnika...? is that a bug?

also at very last screen of ancient forest thers an unmoving guy(supposedly?), that cant be interacted, was he supposed to be shopkeeper?
i can send screenshot but how do i choose pic from computer?

edit: lol, felt guilty to grab loot from gelnika and forest using no battles field option in ochu, so used enemy away and sneak attack+exit and it worked perfectly! funny stuff. even when encountered, cloud just throws sneaky exit and runs away.  8)  :evil:  :mrgreen:

 - I don't know how you could be doing the battle against lucrecia if you only have the sub so far. -

i got no race bred gold chocobo, which i rode 1. time to cave, fought a number of battles, went 2. time after getting sub, got lucrecia battle, to strong atm, left it for later.

so im already in sub and dont remember if i missed cids scimitar or is it placed somewhere else? cant chack it, already saved over that game and cant go back?

and where the hell is that student of cids for his l4 break? or is it in disc 3 only? im finished rocket launching searched whole town and nuthin.

forgotten citys path to the altar is also blocked and cant get ther for her l4?

godo also repeats same get thur maurrhia sentence when talked to w yuffie in party and yes i got levi scales.

i only managed to activate vincent fight but am not yet strong enough to beat the bast...bitc...kahem lucrecia.

Oh and which materia would you suggest to master? Im using double growth equipment mastered most materia at least once, am thinking command and magic counter, hp/mp absorb would be most useful... What about elemental, added cut/effect?

Sega a bug: after ft condor materia battle when party (cid, barret, yuffie) talk to old man they mention seeing cloud and within the convo theres a line from vincent even though hes not in the party. Dont remember h line but can replay if you want?

Also when revisiting church w aeris, she's still in the church talking of fixing the roof and chill. Also i cant get through the passage even though theres red arrow. Suppose that all is normal?
 The first guy past the church screen cant be talked to, and at save point i dont have rank up and check option, i guess it wasnt possible at that game time progress so you programmed save point that way?

Lol Horneos mansion is open! An idea you could make a cross dressing mini game/theatre/competition/comedy w boys n girls there w some kind of reward? Would sure be fun.

Hey chief im back from gaeas cliff, giving seph black materia and getting highwind. Im in fort condor and the man says theyve had 5 battles and have 0 gil. Is this normal or did i somehow miss 5 of them??? Ive done immediately every battle i got notified of. If i did will i miss some important reward at end of all battles?

It would really suck if i did and i went through so much effort to do them all.

Oh and theres a bug whenever i go bavk from battles, exit with teleport guy is blocked by invisible barrier and i have to climb up and back down, so i can get out normally.

Lol i asked that already both chief and alyza. No reset option as of yet, but they told me to use ochu to force game over, it works. Untill its done in a better/easier/direct way.
