yep, that would be cool too, at least for controllers, not sure if it could be done for keyboard, also i am not sure if this game is compatible with ds3 yet, i use betterds3 to turn my ds3 into a xbox360 controller

is there any way we can have more freedom remmaping buttons? For example, remmaping WASD to something other than movement, also have the controller "A" button as selection button (i know it can be changed in game but you still have to press "B" in the start screen)

for me not being able to remmap WASD as i am used to, is way worse than bad UI or backgrounds

Then I'm at a loss... But I'll try to figure it out nonetheless.

I think i got where the problem is coming from
the game, instead of taking chocobo´s texture form char_special_17.png is taking it from char_special_25.png (where there´s nothing on that spot)

edit: yeah i copied the upper part of char_special_17 into char_special_25, so to see how it works, and the chocobo appears (despite the white parts that should be transparent, since paint doesnt support transparency)

im at disc 2, as soon as you get the roaming balamb garden and have access to the chocobo forest near the shumi village

is it possible that another mod is messing it up?
i dont know what might be causing the problem, but i dont understand how modding works either.

Out of curiosity... Are you also using the objmap?

no im not, i just began modding the game last december when v1.1 was already available and it didnt need that file
but are you not getting the same problem?

Even now, huh? Looks like the best action is for me to just name them one thing rather than split them up to prevent it from happening. Since I'll never be able to figure out which codes do and don't cause that to happen.

Edit: It's been done. Hope this fixes the problem. Also added a few textures.

well its not fixed yet...

can only see the legs, beak and some brown lines (as always, that havent changed)

I still have missing chocobo texture in world map, even after updating the hashmap, also replaced all files, just in case, but no change

i know it was in the tutorial, but my converter was not creating any of these files, i downloaded a new version of it and now it is creating them, still have to wait for the mods to see if they do work now

but is FF7_GameConverter_7H.exe suposed to create these files?
because i´ve tried to rename ff7.exe to ff7_bc.exe when using Beacause + Menu Overhaul, i think ive also tried to rename it to ff7_mo.exe when using just the menu overhaul

edit: it seem iv been using a older converter, i ve now have all these files, but i deleted the game to reinstall it and mistakenly deleted all the mods on the process, i have to download them all over again to see if it gets fixed

7th Heaven / 7th Heaven Reunion´s Menu overhaul crash

I´m having a problem when using 7th Heaven mod tool, specifically when using Reunion´s menu overhaul.
everytime the game tries to trigger a window, like steping into a save point or picking an item the game crashes with the following message:

wrote crash.dmp to FF7 install dir.
Please provide a copy of it along with APP.LOG when reporting this error.
Write emergency save/crash.ff7?"

it doesnt happen when opening the main menu or in battle.

i´ve also tried to run it changing the game file name to ff7_bc.exe, but still doesnt work
