Every time I try to save and exit with the newest version of this thing I keep getting  the error "Unable to write to FF7Music.ini" How do I fix this?  Also my files are not showing up in the config mode.

I think the AP and Level up system are pretty good. I got 5 of the 9 characters to lvl 99 and the other 4 were between 75-90. Yes it takes some time and dedication but that makes the game all the more fun and challenging. But I do agree with the make the enemies level up with you like in FF8.

I thought we all might get a good little chuckle from this or atleast a good trip down memory lane.

Are you using the FF7 Music Patch? I have noticed that a lot of my XP crashing problems are associated to that patch. Depending on what version of the patch you have trying using the unpatch function or reinstalling FF7 without the patch but backing up your save file and seeing if it works then.

I too have been wondering about this, it is a tad on the annoying side. But if this works anything like how we manipulate the in game music in PSO, you should be able to assign a loop in winamp, though PSO uses .ogg files, but then again you should be able to then convert that winamp file to Midi or MP3 or whatever is used in the music program that replaces the midi.lgp.

Edit: just checked in winamp and if you have the right plugin you can play the PS1 music files and therefore if someone can find the exact value where it needs to loop it should be able to be edited and made to work, atleast I think it will.

Edit: Just tried it and it didn't work.

I am getting a crash in Junon when you walk up to where the dolphin girl is and she says "Hey, Mr. Dolphin!" and it the camera moves then it crashes. Is this a common problem?

My PC specs are:

Windows XP Home edition, SP2
ATI Radeon 9250 Powercolor edition
AMD Athlon 64 4000+
Direct X 9d or 9c (not sure which.)

No his problem is that the char.lgp was not the original one from the cd.  If you didn't backup your original files I recomand to reinstall the game and backup the char.lgp and the world_us.lgp after that extract the char.lgp start the NPC RC patcher and remake the char.lgp.

Was a new char.lgp supposed to come with the patch to replace the original that I am supposed to extract or are you talking about the original one? And does the patcher automatically remake the char.lgp?

I have a minor problem (atleast I think it is a problem.) I downloaded the mod and installed it like it said and in the world map I get the new NPC skins. But when I go somewhere like the chocobo ranch or a town, or a dungeon, etc. it reverts back to the defualt NPC skins. How can I fix this?
