so far it only edits text?

Does it do that in the normal amount of text windows (if so does it increase the text-box/window size to fit in large amounts of text) or can you add extra boxes to fit all the text you want?

And can you add text where there wasnt any before? (when its not in response to talking with other characters, i mean when its talking in moments integral to the story line)

for example when sephiroth is telling cloud he is a clone, can i make it so that barrett interjects with the comment "BUT I LIKE CHICKEN" halfway through? or would this (maybe) get implemented in another version (if you decide to make one)?

And also, an english version of the program, wouldnt that mean just changing the text on the interface?

EDIT:
Also, that initial "it only edits text?" was because i was thinking of something else, i wanted to know if it can do anything to change the text in menus, when you level up, the text that appears in battles (both for attacks and other things, for example in the battle with that first boss, the robotic scorpion type monster, when someone says to watch out because its tail is up, can that be changed? and can that kind of thing be added to anywhere? or would it have to be edited where it already exists?), generally id like to see the ability to edit every bit of text within the game, basically so the whole story can be rewritten

well here is a link to get the psx version (so glad to talk to people that are aware it was known as the psx before the psone and PS2 came along)

that link is for new copies of it, all between 10 and 15 GBP

If anyone could point me in the direction of a tut. on editing MIDIs or even making them from scratch i might be able to help :)

Theres a spelling error on the petition...

"Eight years after it's release, we have begun to notice that the original game, unlike many older games, does not age well. This is do to many factors, some of which include the following:
The original English translation is broken in some aspects which makes some story elements confusing. "

its SHOULD be due

Little mistakes like that will make the whole petition a waste of time.

erm, i have no idea about midi editing, however.. the intro on elec.midi is off, its hard to explain in detail whats wrong with it because im not someone that knows much about the technicalities and terminologies so i cant really say whats wrong with it...

plus there are various bits where the sound on certain channels isnt as loud as it should be, just a bunch of little things...

Currently just watching Lost. I hope the emision of the 3rd season of House starts next week, I'm begining to  be sick of Grey's anathomy.
Prision Break looks interesting too. I must take a look at it when I can see the Terestrial Digital Television :-P.
I have no idea what emision means but if you mean "beginning"  then, its already begun and they're at ep 5 op season 3 now

I think he meant transmission...

Dont worry about giving release dates, trying to force out programs WITH release dates often means theyre messilly made with heaps of bugs, take your time to iron out the bugs. Program looks nice too, not something i would use, for now anyway, peraps rewriting the whole story might be fun? ffvii ingame spoof anyone?

been having issues with this from the offset

Basically what happens is that when i try to use in_mp3.dll it comes up with "Access violation at address <various memory addresses based on what i click> in module 'in_mp3.dl'. Read of address 00000000."

so far the memory addresses that make access violation errors are 020018EA and 0200128BA

clicking OK makes em go away and i can continue changing things, like what  files are used in place of the originals, but they have no effect

Help would be nice,do i need a new version of that .dll to correct the issue? or maybe an old one?

Either way im gonna try get a new version of the .dll (will reinstall winamp)
