Well, Cloud is now in front, but not by much.  This poll has been going back and forth all day.  Pretty amazing considering that there are over 70,000 votes so far and the gap is only 54 votes.

Mario 49.96%  38275
Cloud Strife 50.04%  38329

I wouldn't be this excited about a poll, but I'm at work and I've got nothing better to do.

Gamefaqs has been hosting a character battle contest all summer long and it's down to only 8 characters left.  Currently the matchup is Cloud vs Mario.  It's a very close matchup and your votes could make the difference.  Vote for Cloud!  and for Sephiroth later.  Thanks to all that do.

Morpheus has been looked at and talked about for awhile, but not to the extent that Napster was at its prime.  Once every station on TV starts having discussions about Morpheus, then its going to be a goner.

I had the same problem with FF8 disc 1 (Fortunately I had some 700mb discs), but I didn't have a CD burner when FF7 first came out.  Sorry about bumping this topic up.  I didn't realize how long ago this was posted.  It won't happen again.

That statement was made just to assure people that using Morpheus is safe.  I don't know how long it will stay around, but as soon as the spotlight is pointed directly at them, it won't be around for long.

It might be, but it could also be the disc.  Did you do a full install?  or just a typical install?  Do a full install and see if it works.  Otherwise I don't know.  I've heard a lot of people say they've had problems running FF7 on Win2000.

My FF7 discs are scratched up pretty bad too (Still work though).  I should have done what you did Sephiroth 3D, when I bought the game.  I guess I'll just have to empty my wallet and go and spend to $10 to get a new copy.
