Troubleshooting / Cant overwrite using game converter

A couple of months ago I downloaded the 7th mod mod for the steam version of final fantasy 7.
I got it to work but know when I try to launch it it just crashes without notice and makes a beep sound.

some sources said that I need to overwrite my 7th heaven installation but when I do that it just gets stuck on "patching...".

The removing key option won't work either.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me solve this issue!

So yesterday I downloaded 7th heaven+remako mod and it worked just fine!
But today windows made me update my system but after the update, the game just stopped working.
I tried to reinstall the game through steam but when it was time to convert the game it just said
Patching...
for 2 hours straight.
I tried reinstalling it multiple times on multiple drives,deleting all the keys I could and even the automatic key remover just didn't do anything!
Thanks for the help and hopefully the problem will get resolved soon!
