7th Heaven / Steam FF7 crashes when I launch through 7th Heaven

Greetings and good day!
So I've been wanting to play FF7 modded, and with the new 2.0 of 7H (Which, congratulations on and thank you) I'd thought to give it a try. So I installed it, got four graphical mods (Battle/Field/World Models, Animations) and booted in. However, when starting the game, its just a black screen and a window pops out saying "The Game Driver has crashed!" and the window does not respond so I have to close it off.
I have tried reinstalling both 7H and FF7, using mods one by one and none at all, but nothing works. Starting FF7 by conventional means does work, however. When fiddling around with the settings of 7H, I changed the option of using the 7H Driver to the other two options, which work fine. So, to me it might just be the custom driver 7H is running.
For reference, my graphics card is an ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 2300.
I don't know if its a problem with my machine or my graphics card (I wouldn't be surprised), but any help is appreciated! I have searched around this forum for an answer but I haven't found something to fix it yet, I'm not sure if I missed something though.
