I am truely sorry for bringing this up again, however I still seem to be having this problem. Is there any way at all to fix this? I just wish to have an answer, and I'll stop being so stubborn about it.

I suppose I am just one of the unlucky ones who seem to get this error :(

I don't know. Maybe it is just me, but for example when comparing the slot menu (ex. Tifa's limit break), the PSX version seems to be smoother than the PC version. I doubt it is my system, why would a  Radeon 8500 lower peformance o__O

I'm not sure if this is just me but, when comparing the in game menus of FF7PC to FF7psx, the psx's versions are a lot faster/smoother/visually pleasing. Was this a true change in the port to PC? If so, is it possible to speed up the PC menus?

I forgot to say this, the GP32 is capable of playing mp3's  :P

Also, you might want to look at the GP32. It is more powerful than the GBA (in many many ways). Take a look at their website at http://english.gamepark.com/

One problem is the music, how do you plan on porting that?

7
well, thank you for the update :)

I certainly hope you are successful in finding and fixing the problem.

8
so is there any news regarding what has been happening so far?

Will doing something about that help the second error though?

Ficedula, are there no fixes to this?

Right, my setup and config is as follows:

Windows XP Professional
Pentium 3 Tualitin @ 1130Mhz
256MB RAM
Radeon 8500LE(128mb)
SoundBlaster Live!

Final Fantasy 7 V1.02

Settings:
Graphics:

Display - Primary Display Driver (radeon 8500LE)
Render Using - D3d HW Accl.
Disp. Res. - 640x480 16bpp

Sound:

Driver - SB Live! Audio [B800]

MIDI:

Driver - SB Live! Synth A [B800]
MIDI Data - Soundfont MIDI (Creative AWE32/AWE64)

---

I would also like to note that the Runtime error occurs with nearly every one of Fice's programs

Everything seems to be set up correctly. Module files in their correct directory, all of the music seems to be set up correctly, plug-ins (winamp cross fader and such) set up correctly, cetra patch applied. I can't find anything wrong, however when running FF7 I get the following two errors:

Runtime error at 217 at 1A780

and:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application.

From there, FF7 just completely exits. Does anyone have a similar problem? Is there any known fix to this?

The following links are broken:
- Sephiroth1999AD's FF7 AWE Soundfont v1.00 (smallest version)
- Sephiroth1999AD's FF7 AWE Soundfont v1.04 (latest version) [NEW]

Ficedula's website is functional, however non of the file links seem to be working (here on my end that is).

Would anyone happen to have any mirrors, or can temporarily host the files? I recently got back into FFVII, and I really want those files. Thank you in advance!
