I've posted the topic about the problem with Nvidia patch a few days ago, but I've got another problem as well.  :weep:

No matter what mode I play(D3D & Software renderer), my game often freezes after a battle.  Exactly speaking, after receiving EXP, item, money things.

My computer gives me a dialogue box showing application error with ff7.exe.(It shows : version 0.0.0.0, the module that has error winmm.dll, version 5.1.2600.0, error address 0x00018464)

data : byte

0050: 0a                                   .

These things are relly complicated for me cuz I'm not good at stuffs like programming.
I've done much in the game without saving cuz I didn't find save point, but It just froze suddenly.  So I have to play that bit again. That's really annoying  :weep:

Anyone can help me? please

P.S. I use Windows XP.

Thanks for telling about drivers, I'm gonna try that.

And You got FF7 XP support patch? Where did you get it? Is it the same as XP chocobo race patch or different from that one?

Yes. I've already found my CD rom drive properties, but I haven't got any option about 'sync data transfer'.  I use windows XP.

When I play FF7 in software renderer mode, there's no hard disk swapping at all.  And when I play it in Nvidia Direct3D mode, every graphics looks great but I always get loads of swapping.

I really need help.:)

I've tried what you said but I'm afraid there's nothing changed.
And when it comes to CD sync data transfer, I can't find that option in my control panel.

anyone can help me?

*My english is not perfect cuz I'm not from english speaking country so    just understand it please  :)

I've been reading through the posts at this forum but I haven't found proper solution.
I've got windows XP and ATi Radeon.  A few days ago, I installed Nvidia patch and the game graphics got far better.  But the problem is, when I enter the world map or get out of world map(like getting into town, menu, or battle), there's loads of hard disk swapping.  It takes really long so I can't get on with the game.

I think it's not because of free hard drive space cuz I've got more than 20GB left. Does anyone know good solution for that? I really need your help.  As a reference, I've installed XP chocobo race 1.02 patch, too.
