ok how do i fix that.....i have win xp i looked for my eax contol panel and i culdnt find it? also is there any way i can check if my sound files are working properly??

ohh..ok ...yea well i tried that...but nope it was at full i even tried puttin it at 50 too see if it was reversed...styll didnt work, any more suggestions???

there is no sound volume in the config options....and i have an SB Live! Wave Device...the other option is primary sound driver.....theres also 2 options to check EAX and Reverse SPeakers....i tried messin around wit it but still no luck

yea its a real version my sound files are not corrupted...theyre normal size.... i hear music....it actually took me a while to notice the sound effects missin cuz the music is so enticing....culd it be anything else...i do hear the chocobo wen i test the sound.....oh and  which patch wuld i install.....can someone gimme the link? thank you

thanks for that, dont you think tehy shuld have an exit button in the menu like in ff7? but what about the sound effects.....what can i do about that.....the games not the same with out them, the audio.dat files is about 103mb and the audio.fmt is about 152kb..but styll no sound

thanks... i tried that but its still the same....in fact i tried it plenty of times.....i dont know how but last time it went like this it fixed by itslef and the sounds went messed...now the sounds are back and the battle ting is messed up

This Error Is In-Battle and It Stops me from playin the game....it seems this problem is back...last time it fixed by itslef..  anyways everytime i go into a battle the enemy is some gold pyramid with an error on the top sayin ENCOUNT ERROR IF you found this message please contact staff, does anyone know how i can fix this?

so how big are the files audio.dat, and audio.fmt anyways...which one is the 60 meg one?

Hi, When I test the sounds in the config i hear the sounds perfectly...(the chocobo) well anyways....when i go in-game there are no sounds at all just music...can someone help me with this? -_-   both "audio.dat" and "audio.fmt" in my "data/sounds" directory are "0 bytes"  does anyone know where i can get them or can someone email them to me....my email is "[email protected]"....thanks for ur help

umm it did come with the soundfonts...it just didnt work cuz i have xp it says this installation is for windows 95 only then it says insufficient memory, but any clue on how i could change this? oh and everything works fine, except for the sounds...wen i test it in config it works fine too but once i get in the game, no sound only music, and in my data/sounds directory both files audio.fmt and audio.dat are o bytes...i just need a place to get the full files for them....

Haha, All i want to do is play the game....and now the graphics are fine...teh 8-bit still fails but it hasnt affected anything any more, but now there is no sound only background music...and i cant install soundfont that came with it, it says it can only run in windows 95 or sumthing...any ideas?  -_-

Hi, Sorry if this is a repeated thread, i have been searching for hours and i still can't find my answer.

i have a radeon 7000 video card and im running windows xp, when im in the first battle the enemy is a pyramid and it says error and a whole bunch of stuff at the top. In my ff7 config file after it tests, the 8-bit paletted textures fails everytime. i tried everything i know, and the xp patch won't work it says its not installed, can someone please help me... i just want to play the game    -_-
