FF7 Tools / Re: Did the save editor cause the problem?

I will play the game in 7th Heaven because I want to use Echo-S to add voices to the game and also I will use graphics enhancement mods. Is it safe to use the save editor to edit the materia levels?

FF7 Tools / Did the save editor cause the problem?

i played FF7 original on Steam a few years ago by using the Reunion mod. i used the SWY graphics patch to improve the graphics and i used the Black Chocobo Save Editor to edit the materia levels. This wasn't the first time that i used the save editor and i used it in the past when i played the vanilla game without the Reunion mod and the SWY graphics patch.

There was a scene in which you exit from a building in Mideel and then a Weapon will come out of the sea and walk to the shore. You could ram it with the airship and then you had to go to the shore and wait for it.

The Weapon didn't come out of the water when I played the game by using the Reunion mod and I got that scene after I left that building. I searched for the Weapon but I couldn't find it. i couldn't progress the game so I had to use a new save file which started from that location.

Did using the Reunion mod with the save editor mess up something which caused the Weapon to not come out of the water? The Reunion mod changed a lot of game flags so maybe that's not compatible with the save editor.

I am thinking about replaying the game. If i just play the game without the Reunion mod and I just use the SWY graphics patch + Nino style character mods then is it safe to use the save editor to edit the materia levels and nothing will get corrupted? These are just graphics enhancements and no game flags have been changed.
