Is it just me or does the docs.google download link to the MO.exe file 404? I've tried quite a few times  now and i can't get it to work.

Google Docs is extinct and replaced with Google Drive. The old links don't work, but you can find the actual links in the mod list.

It will not, however, keep to the established canon or ideas simply because of fanboyism.  Because people moaned a lot that we changed character names (changed them to what they should be), I added an option in the installer to allow a person to keep the original character names.  That is as far as I will go.

Even if you check "Use canon names", it still reads "Barrett" and not "Barret". I don't know if the rest are like that but either way, something's wrong.

I still need an answer for the Retranslation not working.

Also why is the alternate "ff7_enhanced_movies_1" files listed in red for parts 2-4 but part 1 listed in yellow? It's an alternate package and I already have the main ones yet they're still listed in red.

Did you File --> Mod List and actually download the mods to be installed?

Well duh.

There aren't any mods in red.

Ok, I checked "Retranslation" in menu overhaul along with "canon names" and "american spelling", and I also checked "FMV's retranslated".

NOTHING in the game seems to be retranslated. It's exactly the same as the PS version.

Troubleshooting / No sound (Bootleg)

Ok, here's what happened:

I downloaded all the mods for my Bootleg settings, except for a few. I downloaded ff7_enhanced_movies_1 and ff7_enhanced_movies_2

HOWEVER

I did not download the ALTERNATE FF7_ENHANCED_MOVIES PACKAGE which has about 4 parts each. Part 1 is listed as yellow but the other parts are red. I assumed it was a glitch or something, and nothing I found online suggested otherwise, so I ran it.

Now I have 2 issues:

1. The settings I definitely saved somehow didn't show up, so I saved my settings again and ran bootleg again. Now, when it gets to "Avalanche High Res.exe" and all that, it doesn't automatically start the .exe and instead sits there forever telling me to be patient.

2. I launched Bootloader and clicked "Write CFG" and then started the game, and there's no sound. Everything else works, except the sound.

I have FF7music installed, and the custom graphics driver installed, and there's NOTHING WRONG with FF7config.exe. There's just no sound and I have no idea why.

EDIT: Ok, the prelude theme and the bombing mission theme play. But other than that, no opening theme and no sound effects. The opening is an mp3 while everything else is in ogg...is that it? But that doesn't explain the lack of sound effects...

Advent Avatars mod <-- Still looks ridiculously better, and it only shows their faces really
Reunion patch <-- Can you at least show a screenshot comparison?
Scene Redux 1.2 <-- This patch makes almost all enemies morphable into items, It also prevents to steal and win the same item at once a makes the stealing rate more realistic and less frustrating. The Mod also introduces some items that were not carried by any enemy before thus trying to rebalance the underrepresentation and uniformity of the number of stealable items.

There are a LOT of things you're missing. What you focus on is the main game, but not the little details that feel like they're missing.
