Spoox you're my hero =)  Thank you for your hard work, that looks incredible !

When finished ("When it's done"), will it be possible to download the 3D model of your midgar city? :)

Again, it looks wonderful!

EDIT :

If you need help for smaller parts, throw a sketch / image, i'll be glad to help you designing / UV Mapping / Texturing it

Actually i think the temple is 4 row tall, look at the fast pic i made.

I think the floor is not at the same level as the cliff, which could make sense since the temple was carved into the rock.

And about the door, i think they just made it 2 * (half bricks) or (2/3 bricks) long, and padded/centered the other bricks.

Back in time, i had the chance to have a friend which got the game =)

We played it together a couple of days.  It was a decent game, but if you remove the "fan feeding" stuff, there's not much to save it.  I mean, it's not a so good fighting game.  It's quite slow, and the fightings were not really exciting... (it's really far from being a Tekken, SNK, neither a Capcom like)

There was on the game, as an addon, a Rpg dongeon mode, which was terrible at this time, because you were allways lacking food and wasting your time to find some until you die miserably.  And it was pretty much a random maze, so the scenery was pretty rough an blocky : nothing to remember from it.

So, lots of good ideas on this game, but not enough ambitious, and some serious gameplay flaws.

Thanks everyone,

I'm pretty sure, one day, if i have too much free time to spare, i will reinstall LMMS & stuff, and make some other tracks (and why not, remaking this one with better instruments).

Sound: great!
Wav: not so great! Why didn't you use a high bitrate MP3 or OGG?

Because they are both meant to compress while losing quality.  You can always encode a file into those format, but once you did it, there's no turning back : there's no way to get the original quality back.  And i think it's better to share it with the best quality and let everyone encoding it with their favourite codec.

I know i could encode it into FLAC, but there's not much weight difference between that format & wav, and moreover, who's using FLAC here? :D

Hello everyone,

I just remembered, i attempted, one year ago, to remake "Nightmare begins" aka Vincent's theme.  I just discovered this board, and, i though it was a pretty good idea to share it with everyone around (finally i found a place to put it).

So this is a free attempt, made on Linux, with LMMS and free VSTI instruments.  I wasn't able to afford a full set of professional VST.  So the guitar sound is far from being perfect, but i think it doesn't sound so bad.

So i share it with everyone. Feel free to comment / use / share it with everyone.  And please keep in mind : I'm not a professional, I don't own a studio, and I'm not a great musician.  It's just a fan made song.  This song has not been ripped : it's a full start from scratch.

Finally, don't ask me to improve it, modify it, my installation messed up : i made this one year ago.

Thanks, and enjoy ;)

Haha thanks, i tried to tweak the Exe by every possible way, but i just forgot to test swapping the drivers :D

Good idea!  Thanks a lot! =)

Oh snap!  The FF8 driver is not compatible with the French Game Version :(

Amazing job by the way, i can't even imagine how did you manage to get this done, that's incredible.  On next update, could you add support for other languages? =)

Thanks a lot, and keep up the good work ;)  I though i was a fairly good programmer, but i was totaly wrong, considering this :D
