Completely Unrelated / How did you guys learn how to model?

I'm currently learning how to model with Blender, but I don't quite know where to begin. I've learnt how to use the interface (basically), but now I don't know how what to do?
So, I'd like to ask to those of you who know about modelling, what were your first models? What tuts did you read? Do you have some advices?

You're right, it was on the plugin folder. I didn't look in there ^^ It works now, thanks a lot

Yes, my musics are on my E: drive (and I copied them on the C: driver later to see if it fixes anything).

I don't see the midi mute option in the config file, but I found this line

I'm using driver v0.7.5 so it should work I guess. And I'm running FF7Music properly: I launch ff7 via FF7Music.

Well, I did not install ff7 remix, I only took the "ficedula" folder from it. And I've already tried to recopy it, but it didn't fix it.

I have a problem guys. FF7Music stopped working here. It doesn't play the mp3s, and it doesn't mute the midi too. It's strange because it used to work, and I don't know what I did to. I use the one bundled in the Remix Patcher, but I tried this bundle too and it didn't change a thing.
I tried with a fresh 1.2 ff7.exe but it still doesn't work.
I really don't have a clue what the problem is.

Edit: I'm running windows 7 (32bits)

Has someone made a tutorial about all this? If not, it should be done, I guess you'll have more help that way.
I'd really like to help you guys, but I don't know a thing about modelling. I was thinking about learning it for some times, but I guess it's not something I can do even with a year of experience.
