Still does the same thing. Odd.

Yeah, the sword still shows up, it's only a cosmetic problem, nothing that majorly affects my game. I just wasn't sure if anyone else had this problem and found a fix for it.

I have Aali's 0.7.8b. I recently patched in Nero's menu avatars, and wanted to put his fullscreen main menu in as well. I used highwind and put the buster.tex file in, and copied the image into the Textures/WMRP/menu. When it gets to the title screen, it says "glitch: missing external texture" with the file name after it, "buster_00." i've triple checked that the files are the same name and such, so any clues about what's causing this? Is there something I  need to configure in opengl cfg?

It won't let me select "small" in the buffer tab. It only has "medium."  Any clue why this is?

Nevermind, got it ;). I'll see if this works now.

Alright, I've finally figured it out. I went to Config on the MAD plugin and, along with selecting "small" in the buffer tab, I set the Priority to Highest Priority in the General tab. So to anyone with a slower CPU, try this if you have problems with songs loading on time. I confirmed that having it set to Highest Priority is, indeed, the fix to my problem, as I have tested it with both Highest and Normal settings. The only slowdown in the game that I've noticed is literally half a second at most, and it's only apparent when the victory fanfare plays.

I've tried almost everything, and I'm still running into a minor (yet annoying problem). 50% of the time, ff7music will run perfectly when I start playing the game. However, it lags behind on the other 50%. Also, if it starts out running like it should, it eventually falls behind. The most noticeable is the fanfare after battles, then Field music becomes slow to load as well. I have the lessdebug patch installed, I've ran nearly every combination of compatibility modes for ff7.exe and ff7music, and I've tinkered around with all the settings. I have an Acer Aspire 5515 with a 1.6 GHz processor and an ATI Radeon X1200 chipset. I'm beginning to think my hardware isn't up to par, since the slow loading only occurs when using the Phoenix and Team Avalanche patches. The game itself runs perfectly, but maybe it's too much for my slow CPU to run ff7music along with ff7 patched?

Sorry for the long post, but this has been a problem for me for a long time, and nothing I've found on here has helped so far.

Team Avalanche / Re: Team Avalanche uninstall?
« on: 2010-07-16 15:04:34 »
I see a "NSIS" uninstaller, but I was wary to use that. Just for future reference, is that the Avalanche uninstaller?

And yes, what you said worked, Hellbringer616. I figured it would, but I was just being cautious.

Team Avalanche / Team Avalanche uninstall?
« on: 2010-07-16 13:28:13 »
I have the low-res version, but want to switch to the high-res version. Simple question: Do I have to do a clean install to switch them out? My current version was installed all at once with the installer, so I don't know what files were modified.

May seem like a stupid question, but if it's possible to do this without a clean install of FF7 after all the mods I have, it'd be rather nice.

Will do, I just tucked my tail and actually read the rules. >.>

My bad, gentlemen, my bad. I'll remember next time.

I felt the post was relevant. "Problem solved, don't worry about replying," is basically what that said. Why have people try and help if I don't need it anymore? Don't be so strict, man.

I switched to v0.7.3b, solved the video playback problem, and seems to be doing fine for right now. I'm tweaking my graphics card so get optimal performance, and I should be set to play soon.

Troubleshooting / FF7 Movies are black with Aali's Opengl
« on: 2010-07-14 16:17:03 »
I've been working on FF7 for a day now. I have it customized to where I want it, but I can't get any FMV playback. It says "glitch" after a black screen, then reports how many frames were skipped, or something. Yes, I'm TOTALLY new here, but I have been lurking, and I wouldn't have made it as far as I have (Custom Soundtrack, Characters, etc.) if it wasn't for you guys, so I really appreciate you making it relatively easy.

I have an Acer Aspire 5515 with Vista and an ATI Radeon X1200 (ATI sucks for FF7, I've found this out). Gameplay is fine, had no trouble loading it up at all, surprisingly. Oh, I also have the "real" version of the game, not the Ultima Edition. I'm just trying to work out this last kink and I'm good to go. If you need more info, just ask ;).
