For anyone that stumbles on this thread: I’ve released a new version of the mod compatible with current FFNx builds.
The dark/oversaturated visuals were due to FFNx changes since the original mod's release.

I’m completely new to FF7 modding, but while looking for a mod that restored the original battle shadows, I came across this older release by Pashtarot:

Unfortunately it no longer works with current version of FFNx, so I decided to try and update it myself. While I was at it, I also added an optional PSX-style vertex wobble/jitter effect, which is included as a separate option in the mod folder.
