Do you mean the 2013 Stem version is still available on GOG? I can't find it. As far as I can tell both GOG and Steam has basically the same port of the game.
Or maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

oh, maybe the GOG is the same version then, I was under the impression that the GOG version would the 2013 version. in any case, it seems like the "new" version is just using a wrapper, I've been able to load 7th Heaven using the new one, and it shows my saves from the 2013 version. sorry for being ignorant about it

If it turns out to be non compatible is it possible to make mods work with pirated versions?, since currently it requires the Steam version to use mods and it will be de-listed.

new version just came out today, old version which was delisted from Steam is now available for purchase through GOG. previous owners of FF7 (2013) on steam can still play that version, or find a key from HumbleBundle or other digital retailers
