Hello, i am recently playing FF7, on Windows XP, currently on the hardcore mod version of the game.

Specifications:
FF7 1.02 with Aalis Custom driver
FF7 Remix (Titeguys compliation of mods)
Team Avalanche GUI 2.0.7
Advent Children avatars
Advent Children limit break

Options:
Screen Resolution 1280x1024 Preserve aspect= yes fullscreen = yes
mod path = avalanche
fancy transparency = off

I do have an APP log from my last crash, i had just got onto the Highwand after saving Tifa from Scarlet, needless to say i tried to do everything from the last save point(when you control barrett) and its now crashed 3 times at random points.

Not only this but i seem to have had a number of random crashes in the past, maybe its something specific in my settings, but if there is i dont have the knowledge to tell.

If anyone can help me with this matter i would be truly grateful, i love playing FF7 and all the work done on these mods and patches, but its getting more and more frustrating every time this happens, as its usually at the most annoying points which require a lot of time getting back up to the point i was at.

Thanks for any support you can give me. :)

I do not get crashes anymore, i did a complete reinstall of FF7 and still got crashes.

From there i tried out a few options in the config, posting this just in case someone has a similar problem to me, with random crashes which can occur at any moment.

User Options
-Make your screen resolution the same as your desktop (1280x1024 for me)
-Preserve Aspect and Full Screen = Yes
-V Sync, Minigame framelimiter and Battleswirl framelimiter = Yes/On
-Linear Filter = Off

Enhancements
-Transparent dialogs = Off
-Break damage limit, Mdef fix and new battle interface are your choice, Yes/On for me
-Enable Postprocessing = No*

Advanced

-Use Shaders= Yes
-Prevent rounding errors = Yes
-Fancy Transparency = Off*
-Compress Textures = Yes
-Use new timer and stable timer = Yes*

*These options should definitely be this way, after finding this combination i no longer get crashes! :)
