Alright, I'm going through various mods, and I'm finding that between the files & directory/locations everythings a mess.
It seems that just about every mods runs a cfg file, and various specified directories.

Can someone tell me, what I'm looking for in terms of cleaning everything up...and allowing various mods to run? After installing different mods...in different orders, I'm figuring, that has to be some way to clean this up...meaning, keeping mods within the installed directory...

*example* Most Packs that include music replacement, don't actually work. When I install the FFmusic (standalone), and run from an exe in a completely different directory, it works, mind you, It's running a separate exe process, along with ff7.exe.

Has anyone made a "Launcher" Program....specifically for maintaining various mods...allowing for updates and what not?

no programs such as that exists, FF7 is not really "modular" in that aspect. A program could be made, but it would require alot of coding to open LGPs and remove/replace things...and it wouldn't really be worth the trouble.

Most of us find a set of mods we enjoy and stick to that. If FF7 directory gets messy, backup your save files, delete FF7, and reinstall. The mods i am currently using and the order i installed in:

1-Hardcore  Mod
2-Battle Interface Mod
3-Menu Mod
4-Team Avalanche Overhaul *Beta 9*
5-Team Avalance GUI *whatever the new version is*

My FF7 directory is still tidy, the worst thing you can do is install a bunch of different mods all willy nilly without taking into account the mess it will be likely to cause.

With the newest advances in the OpenGL driver, most graphical mods will be very simple to install in the future. You will simply place a folder in your mods directory and all will be well. The functionality is there right now, but we have yet to really take advantage of it.

*edit* almost forgot, if your having too much trouble, download the newest FF7 Remix patcher. It contains the most popular mods all in one installer. I've never tried it but most seem to have success with it.

4 and 5-Team Avalanche (probably just the GUI changes)

< Should be installed before the menu and battle interface mods, because some changes will be overwritten otherwise :)

Thank you both, for your replies, I'm getting back into programming(a link to my post on another forum)...first things first..I may invest my time in a universal launcher. If I follow through with this, sh*t, I'm eager....
Pyrozen, would you mind posting an image of your combined mods? I'm curious to see the Battle Interface along with the GUI mods.
