Slight question with using FF7 Remix 2.5.1

Im loving the mod, saves alot of hassle. But is there anyway of undoing the changes to spells and attacks?
E.g. I just got the Poison materia, and it should have, Bio, Bio2, Bio3. But instead it has, Poison Spell and Drain Spell.
Also how clouds cross slash is now called Jinx Slash. This doesn't really bother me but is there a way of undoing the materia changes?
I love the mod but I don't want this change..
Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Well the new spells are a work of titeguy's himself so I am not sure if they can be removed from the mod or not. However all of the modifications that come with remix, aside from titguy's personal modifications, can be downloaded and installed by themselves. While I appreciate what Titeguy has contributed to the community, I don't use remix because I'm the kinda guy who really likes to customize my experience, and on top of that, I don't really like the PRP. It screwed up my game in the past and honestly, I like the super deformed models better, and would rather see some higher res deformed models, rather than some low res human shaped models. It doesn't match the scale of the game IMO. Hope this is helpful.

Ah yeah it was helpful, thanks.
It just saves alot of hassle using Remix 2.5.1, everything in there is great, also whenever I used Aalis custom driver mine would always be fullscreen even though I had specified 'no' in the cfg. Also had a bunch of other problems and couldn't find alot of the mods that Remix uses..
If anyone can tell me how to remove the changes made somehow or could link me to recent versions of the mods used that'd be great.
The barret model for example..
I couldn't use the different weapon skins because it just made them look hi-res.. but really dark and weird.
So yeah.. any other help guys?

If I am correct Remix comes with an older version of Aali's driver so, first things first, you should download the latest version
0.7.10b (if you experience any problems or crashes with this version try turning off texture compression)
[linked from official page]
http://85.24.185.102/share/ff7_opengl-0.7.10b.zip
and here is the official 1.02 patch
http://www.gamefront.com/files/2952477/Final-Fantasy-7-Retail-v1.02-Patch/
DLPB's higher quality movies (although I think you could just save the movies folder from remix no real need to download them again as it is quite a large file)
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=10980.0
Gjoerulv's Hardcore Mod
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=6818.0;topicseen
you won't really need the YAMP patch since the latest version Aali's driver does everything they do except skip movies, if you want to be able to do that, there is a search button for a reason
Unfortunately I cannot give you the link to APZ's cloud as it is illegal to use however APZ is currently working on a newer model and Team Avalanche has produced quite a stunning model themselves. If you can just be patient I think TA's model will be released with the "project Bombing Mission"
TA High res 2d overhaul beta 9, this comes with an option to install the custom Barret model and the Diamond Weapon model that come with Remix

Millenia's custom weapon models (you say they were showing up too dark, might have been the outdated driver I would highly recommend these)

This is the Team Avalanche GUI 2.0.5 it doesn't come with remix but it goes very well with the 2d overhaul

Slayersnext's Custom Models

And the latest version of FF7Music by Fidecula /w installer by Covarr
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=10546.0
not in Remix but I would highly recommend The Retranslation Project
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=9613.0
and also keep an eye on these which will be coming very soon
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=10081.0
Kranmer and DLPB's Battle Interface Recon.

My Field Upscale Project
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=11501.0
Sl1982's Field Enhancement
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=11542.0
Felix_Leonhart's Battle and WM Enhancement
http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=11551.0
Mago Chocobo's battle scene enhancement
It's better to download them separate anyway because I am fairly certain that a lot of the mods included in remix are a bit out of date. These links contain the latest versions of everything as of right now.
Enjoy

Wow, thank you so much.
But.. I just fixed it haha. I just installed two copies of the game, one was clean, I took the kernal files of the clean one and replaced the ones that had been remixed. It worked perfectly. I get all the mod's except the spells and limit breaks are as they were before...
I might just install the mods seperately now though since you say the 2.5.1 remixed ones are old.
Would I see a significant difference if I used the new ones compared to the remixed ones?

well the most significant difference will come from updating to Aali's latest driver. The rest have only been updated minimally mostly small bug fixes for the most part, Millenia's models may be a big upgrade since I don't really know which models Remix is using. Also the mods that I recommended that don't come with remix are very awesome compliments.

Please don't post any direct links to the driver. Link to the release thread instead.
