I don't know why the Chocobo patch would be needed for an emulated version of the PSX version of the game...

That's probably your problem. Ask the makers of the emulator.

As I said earlier, there is no patch for a PSX ff7 because the PSX ff7 does not have the bug. In other words, this thread is finished.
