Author Topic: Crashing after air buster boss cutscene + strange 7thHeaven behavior?  (Read 3074 times)

Hey all,

Hope I'm posting this in the right space, with correct formatting. I'm unable to get past the early disk 1 cutscene that happens after you beat up Air Buster (it always crashes during the cutscene; I have yet to fall through the church roof to meet Aeris  :cry: ) Here's my APP.log

I'm running Windows 10 pro I7-4600k gtx1070 with 16gb ram.

Some things I found strange: all my mods in 7thHeaven have giant names. For example, instead of 'Animations' this is what I see when managing the mod inside 7thHeaven 653bb2b6-3999-4bb0-bc21-2ae299bb7b87_Animations_2.1. Another thing: I never get prompted that one mod has been disabled to let another work. It used to do it, but I must have clicked something to make it stop? I'm not sure. Oh and I'm using FF7_mo.exe, the only one I could get to work w/ New Threat and the pretty FF9 menu (inside 'the reunion beacause and menu overhaul' i have menu overhaul checked and hand indicator removed, but everything else is off/standard.)

Thanks for any help, and if there's anything wrong with my post, my apologies!

It's probably the case where I left out the models from the latest NT. I'll see if I can get that update pushed out tonight.

The names only happen when you manually import the mods after downloading them from the catalog. They still function the same in game, but 7H features like update notices and compatibility messages are probably broken. Not sure what occurred to get you there...probably some rare unknown bug that won't ever get fixed so long as Iros remains MIA  :-\

Thanks for your super fast response- I've noticed you pretty much handle all the questions and complaints around here.. I'm new but I'd like to ask: how come there's no second mods to help you out? Or maybe a discord server w/ some bots to help out...those are real popular nowadays.

Anyway, I'm not sure what NT stands for, but it seems important, so I'll be keeping an eye on.. the main tutorial page for an update? Hopefully that's where to look. Oh and about manually importing the mods..hmm, can't say I've done any dragging and dropping; hopefully Iros comes back. I did some light searching, and seems he (she?) doesn't have any google+/twitter/contact info. Kinda surprising since a lot of the devs that do these things in other scenes are on a bunch of social media. Whew, that got kinda long winded. Anyway, looking forward to your NT update, see ya!

im getting same crash with similar app.log after cutscene screen goes black and crashes before the part where cloud talks to himself then wakes up to aerith
