Go to My Music/.

For those interested only in Final Fantasy® VII, get Aeris’s Theme (done by request) and The Nightmare’s Beginning (piano solo).

Miscellaneous tracks of interest may include Lava from Donkey Kong Country™ 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest and/or, for anyone interested in Final Fantasy®’s better component, Chrono Trigger™, Zeal Island (Time Circuits) and Robo’s Theme are there for download as well.

Each of the songs above were obviously written by someone other than myself, however, they are each my own renditions of their respective works.

All other music in that folder belongs to me wholey as original works of my own.

On a side note, I often get people informing me of how low quality MIDI seems to be.
To get them to shut up I send them to the link to Farolillo which is in the Misc Music/ folder (inside My Music/).
I did not write this song—I post it there because it is an example of just what MIDI can do.
If you doubt the powers of MIDI, get that song and consider yourself enlightened.

You can also find Zeal Island and The Nightmare’s Beginning on http://www.rpgamer.com/ and some of you may be hearing Zeal Island on the radio soon.

Yeah, Alhexx.
I am sure 99% of the people who post here who are not part of the remake do not even know I exist.

KojiroTakenashi, The Nightmare’s Beginning and Zeal Island are already in general MIDI format, but the rest use sepcail instrument banks found only in my keyboard (and others related to it of course) so they wouldn’t sound too nice.

But some of them I can convert to general MIDI without changing the instruments too much.
In Aeris’s Theme, I used a Sweet Flute instead of a Flue.
And a Dark Grand piano instead of a Natural Grand piano.

Lava, however, can not be converted.  Every instrument I used in it comes from a special bank on my keyboard (except 2 of them).

Regardless, I can convert some of them and post them later.

You can expect The Nightmare’s Beginning, Zeal Island, and Aeris’s Theme.

Not Robo’s Theme because I plan to redo it.

Hey L. Spiro, your stuff's pretty good!  Did you learn all that by ear and play it straight through a keyboard then?

Just to grab a little attention for myself, here's one of my recent songs.
Battle.mid
Just did it in a simple MIDI program, no pianist skills for me!  :(

Oh, just saw your Asuka and Rei pics, those are really good![/url]

Thanks to all.

It is mostly a random mix between things I learned by ear and things I used a MIDI file to get the notes to play.

With Aeris’s Theme and The Nightmare’s Beginning, I had perfect MIDI files just laying there, so I used them for the notes.
Lava is mostly done by ear.

I also played most of the parts and just recorded my play.
Obviously The Nightmare’s Beginning is done that way, but so are all the parts to Aeris’s Theme.

I played the piano first, then the french horns, then the flute, etc., all manually, and just recorded in real-time.

I am working on a song from Donkey Kong Countryâ„¢ now but when I am done I will be short on ideas for the next song, so I am open to requests.

Btw Spiro there is a folder called Tribes and apparently there is a 007 mod in it.... am I right? (filesize = 16mb)
Can you teach me how to install the MOD.... do I need to modify anything (e.g. the autoexec.cs files) inside Tribes or should I just unzip it ....? I unzipped it and ran Tribes but I can't find it.... thanks.

And yeah the MIDI musics are great.

FFTactic_Boy, you unzip the files and make sure they go where they need to go (if the .mis files landed in your Missions\ folder, everything is fine).

Then host a game and the maps are on the list.
Specifically, look for DeathComplex, DeathTemple, Egyptian, HoldTheTemple, and Library.

But know this:
I am sure you remember the HaPpY Flag mod my friend HaPpY made by changing the .dts files.
This mod forced Dynamix to create the 1.11 patch, and now the server checks all .dts files for correct size.
Well, the pack has two .dts files for the doors in Temple, so if anyone connects to your server, whether it is running any of those maps or not, they will have to have those two files.

Don’t know “Ballad of The Wind Fish” or “Journeyman”.

Merci, TiadaghtonDude.

Never played Phantasy Starâ„¢ Online, but the Shinra Inc. song is a possibility.

Yeah I unzipped them to the correct folder ... it's just that I don't know the mission names. I've tested them out and yeah they are really good... and I didn't know that your friend was the main cause of the 1.11 patch lol....  :)
The texturing and lightings of the maps are really good (Well, considering that it's such an old game) and some of the T1 maps are now available in the T2 Classic MOD patch.... which is pretty cool.

It feels really odd not to come across your maps when the fact that I've played Tribes for some time.... hehe.

The Journeyman Project? Oooh, Find it some where and pick it up for $2-5, it's a nice old game with pretty music ^^

Ballad of The Wind Fish is from Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Whenever I feel not lazy maybe I'll post it (one of the best tones on any handheld...)

This one is not on my site yet but should be soon.  In the meantime, you can get it from here: http://www.vgmix.com/songview.php?songid=1871

It is the Hammer Bros. Theme from Super Mario Bros.â„¢ 3.

Just a fair warning:  People find it kind of annoying when you bring a post that hasn't had any input for a month back up to the top with a reply.  Not to sound mean or anything, but its just kinda one of the rules around here.

Um, no.  That was 3 days and 1 month ago, unless the post you speak of was deleted before Aaron read it.

Either way, have a look at the Newbie's Forum Rules Thread, just to make sure you don't make little mistakes like that in the future.

Thank you, Galadyn.

Aaron, I know how to handle a forum, thank you.
You don’t see me posting here too often, do you?
I rather dislike being harrassed by random people about certain rules which are not official nor broken.

This is why I stick entirely to the private sections of this board, with this small exception called Music, which I had a crazy idea that some people may enjoy hearing

I decided to use the existing thread instead of creating a new topic as logic ensues to the obvious.
I come down and take a small peek at the rest of the world from the private forums very rarely and now I see that my tiny abode has been turned into arguing over last posts, either caused by myself posting my latest work or Galadyn complimenting me on it.
Either way, shame on you.

ficedula, Qhimm?  Either of you or any other moderators of this forum up to removing this thread from existance?

Thank you.
