Numbers top right hand corner and menu mod
« on: 2019-08-12 12:41:20 »
I've got these numbers in the top right hand corner when I launch from 7th Heaven. How do I remove those?

Also the menu has all these lines under the text (like someone cut and pasted the menu items). Is there a way to get a cleaned up menu? I've seen threads where the menu was completely reworked. All I want is a PS1 style menu that looks a bit cleaner then the one I've currently got :)

[EDIT]: I tried renaming FF7_mo but that made it worse. I also don't want to use the Beacause retranslation. As much as I respect the effort that went into that translation, having looked at the details of what they did I've decided it isn't for me.

Could you post a screenshot (via imgur or the like) and a copy of your ff7_opengl.cfg file?  Pretty sure you're seeing the fps counter (which isn't on by default, but whatever), while for your menu stuff, I'm afraid you're kind of stuck for the moment... the "completely reworked" menu comes with Reunion R03, which is a part of the current 7H catalog.  There is work on a "very nice looking but true to the original" menu overhaul by Chrysalis and others which will probably be part of the upcoming v3 catalog.  Finally, don't go around renaming your exe files unless specifically told to... you see what happens ;)  For now, it sounds like the best thing (besides a screenie so we can verify if it's the fps you're seeing) for you to do is play straight vanilla ff7.exe with the Reunion mod disabled, but including all the other graphical work (like satsuki's field remasters)

Hey. Thanks for the help. I went to copy the ff7_opengl.cfg file to copy the contents when I saw the show_fps option was set to on. I set it to off and that worked :)

Shame about the menu situation, but I will keep an eye out for the v3 catalog.

Thanks again!
