Newbie Question: FF7 Field Model Capture

I would like to get captures of field models of NPCs for my website, but I am having an awful time trying to figure out how to export them from the LGP and get them working in Lightwave 7 so I can export them. Is there anyone out there who could provide me with a step-by-step on how to do this? Maybe there's one already written that could help?
